I dont think you understand that you are arguing for something far more liberal than what I am. Im not against it, but when you start making statements like:
I take offense. I dont think people have the mentality that a lot of other people accuse them of having. People are not out here in a welfare line asking for free gear. 7’s and 8’s are not trivial content, they are content that YOU are currently doing even though you are 4/8 mythic.
Im sure people find heroics non trivial content, thats not the issue. The issue is someone accusing others of wanting handouts for clearing what they say is trivial content, but have not passed beyond it themselves.
Yeah, I don’t disagree with you. I think that there’s a lot to be done regarding dungeon tuning and the gear curve right now. It shouldn’t feel like you have to exhaust the runed crests just to get gilded.
I’m fortunate to have people to play with most of the time, and from that perspective I can imagine that those who have to pug are maybe having much worse experiences.
You mean to tell me that when we didn’t have to repetitively grind mats to get to max item level the gear was worse? LOLOL OK. Time was, valor upgrades were only trotted out as a stop-loss grift, and their purpose didn’t change when they made them permanent. The existence of Myth 5 and 6 doesn’t make Myth track gear better and worthy of elevation, it just makes Myth 1 and 2 worse, and everything below even moreso.
You didn’t answer my question from the last time we had this talk, and that is, do you really think timing a 6 in this season is not only easier, but SO much easier than Mythic Gnarlroot that the loot had to be nerfed? Or, actually I will do you one better. Easier than like the first five bosses of Aberrus?
Why did this need to change from DF S3, when it was already increased from 15, which, again, was also an increase from 14? Why is it that to get to this level of loot from dungeons they have to be comparatively hard to the last third of a raid? The first third drops gear too, doesn’t it? Oh I already know the answer is “upgrades” so my preemptive response, as above, is upgrades are just stolen time disguised as a dopamine fix.
And this on the heels of the permanent stacking buff for killing any boss they’re adding soon. Or did you conveniently forget about that, too, when raving about how M+ needs to match raiding? So halfway through the season when the first four bosses of Mythic Nerub’ar just fall over to PUGs because even random people doing weekly reclears of Normal have become Remix-like gods, and the difficulty of M+ remains unchanged? What then.
If blizzards goal is to practically force us to raid… Against our will and desire…
Maybe they should give gilded for Heroic raid. Or at least the last half of heroic raid? I would be willing to raid for gilded… though I would not like it and I’d be very annoyed that I have to, and I’d sitll come tot he forums and whine about it… I’d at least still do it.
I’m fairly confident that blizz wants all of the content groups to either be in a perpetual state of strife with all other content groups or run a bit of all of them all the time for those participation metrics.
Those who are unhappy are a perpetual engagement metric machine on the socials because no one rage posts like an angry gamer.
And those who are happy are typically perma subbed and never even see the forums.
In a weird way all have their place in the Jailer’s pla… err… Blizzard’s grand design.
If you read through my post history, you’ll find I’m a huge advocate of iron curtain separations between the different game elements, like we have now with PvP vs PvE gear (but didn’t always…).
Nobody should have to raid who doesn’t want to raid.
Nobody should have to M+ who doesn’t want to do M+. Unfortunately, the game has been designed around funneling people into M+ since Legion. Which has driven away many of my friends - and that’s something I take umbrage with.
This is all you have to say? A technical quibble over * checks notes * as little as three points of item level? The fact that this is the totality of your response is, in itself, voluminous. And you KNOW everyone would still be chasing Sacbrood
I AGREE! Separate M+ from Raid… then you can give us our Myth track gear… but perhaps only scale it up to that ilvl in m+ dungeons, and not in raid… im TOTALLY okay with this solution.
Either that… or make them all relatively equal in difficulty to earn. and make them all work with each other.
