Gettings stuck while loading character

i get frozen at one inch from bar completion after choosing a character. i have tried reinstall and repair tool, can u help?

Sounds like that character might be stuck (assuming it’s just one character). First thing to try is the self-help character stuck feature here:

If that doesn’t work (as it’s been hit-or-miss recently), then you’ll need to put in a ticket using the following stuck character link:

https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/contact/1369/ticket

These tickets are prioritized to get you back into the game again as quickly as possible.

If it’s happening to all of your characters, then you likely have a different issue. But let’s start with the steps above :wink:

I would agree. If this is only happening to a single character, please try the unstuck option. If it is for all of your characters, I would recommend posting in the Technical Support forum for troubleshooting advice.

Do you mean the self-help option didn’t work? If not, you’ll want to use the link that Perl provided.

Unless, this is happening for all of your characters, which you haven’t been clear on yet. :slight_smile:

dude i am paid thru feb 2026 , how is no one able to get me back on wow? i log on, get to character screen, the freeze at one inch from bull bar, how is this new math?

If you are having trouble getting on, try posting over in the Technical Support forum. Be prepared to offer more details than “it’s not working” and also be prepared to do some basic troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Blizzard no longer offers official technical support, that was ended a while ago.

Edit: some pertinent questions:

  • Is it happening on just one character or all?
  • What game version are you playing. Does it happen on all version (if multiple are played)?
  • Do you still have trouble if you try another mode of connection such as wired/wireless, VPN, mobile hotspot?

Ohh, you already have a topic. Usually better to keep it all together for the same problem.

I’d recommend moving this over to Technical Support since it doesn’t seem to be localized to one character.

Okay, your first post didn’t mention that it was all characters despite the fact that I mentioned it might be a different issue if it’s all characters.

If it’s all characters, the link I provided won’t help. As Vrak mentioned, you might need to post in the Tech Support forum if your game isn’t launching for ANY characters. That’s a totally different issue.

If you’re having trouble logging into EVERY character, then there’s something on your end likely blocking to log-in.

Try temporarily disabling all anti-virus and anything else that might be blocking the connection.

Both links in that thread load for me. Even still, could have mentioned it on that thread that you couldn’t get it to work.

Then you definitely have something on your system that’s blocking your connection. That link is working fine for me.
