legitimate question for blizzard, why can’t we turn this into battle.net balance like retail? i wanna buy faction changes/race changes like i do with retail with my gold. this is such a odd choice.

If you think the people that resubbed from pservers will continue to play era or seasons with p2w you are deluded. I am not saying that retail players will leave because of it, in fact its being added because some folks like p2w. I’m merely pointing out that the people that came back to play Classic will just go back to their old routine instead giving money to Blizz.
If this p2w stuff comes to era or seasons there will be a lot of folks joining you.

So, as you’ve used flare for an example, lets stick with that. Say you’re in a GDKP and flare drops. You begin a bid war against someone for it, going back and forth, and now you’ve reached the cap of how much of your hard earned gold you’re willing to spend, not knowing that the person you bid against had 100k more gold than you and you had no shot to begin with. So you lose out on flare when you otherwise would have gotten it, if not for the whale who bought his gold with $.
You can’t see how this might affect someone who hasn’t purchased gold?

The number of people leaving wow over token is not what you think it is buddy. Only one having a stroke is you probably why you think you cleared full uld and alg and quit the game already lol

Yeah, because nobody was getting banned for it anymore. I knew dudes buying 1m+ never even a warning. When there’s no downside to doing it, you have to do it yourself just to keep up.
3 tokens = 4 subscriptions
They can lose a lot of subscriptions and still have net gains. It’s a trade off that, unfortunately, a lot of games have made.
And in case anyone wasn’t aware, Activision makes more than twice as much money from microtransactions as all game sales and subscriptions combined.
