I would play on a server without addons. To be honest, I had no idea about addons until I started raiding in Vanilla. It would be very refreshing.

I think it would be fun to see how the community handles it. I’ve basically been playing without addons for the last ten years because it got boring having them tell me what to do in raids/groups.
The base UI in retail has come a long way, so I think people would adjust pretty quickly. Classic would be a different story though.
I wish the mods would merge all of these. Take the wind out of their sails.

LOL they have never outright said they are banning this addon. As for the rest of your post, something about the style you wrote it makes me very skeptical of your claims.

The game has always had addons; People are just better at creating them now than they were 15 years ago.
Zadie, you know that if there is an LFG addon, the same thing will happen in classic that happens in Retail. You join a group. The group wipes for various reason. People leave because they know they can just join another lfg post instantly and try with other players, instead of working together and making each other better. ION already stated that they were not going to allow addons that break the spirit of Classic and it’s functionality. So it’s a done deal. The addon will be removed.
NOW I KNOW WHAT IT IS. I know someone who always presents their side of an argument for instance they love saying vaccinations are bad. Then they make themselves look like an expert although they barely finished high school. Then they act smug and that since they have said their opinion i must now present a proof in triplicate for why they are wrong or else their children get to live without being vaccinated.

I’m pretty sure we won’t have to worry about the addon. They seem to be aware of potential threats to Classic and are willing to offer a genuine experience. All of the whiners will go back to retail or play classic as it was.

This Addon scans your talent trees…correct? Why is that needed? I know it says it can be toggled however we know exactly how that is going to work in reality. Hopefully, you can at least understand why that would be a deal breaker for us.

No addon can scan your talent tree for classic. There was an addon where that was intended as a future feature but since everyone blew up on the forums about it being invasive the author has since canned that idea.

The addon checks for groups in LFG (/4) chat channel to parse them for you to find people to invite and play with.
Boy its a good thing this isn’t at all how its going to work. The LFG addon doesn’t bring LFG as it is in retail to Classic. How you ever imagined it would is beyond me. The addon does nothing that you can’t do on a public forum outside of the game because thats all it is: a glorified custom chat channel.
You wont be able to kick players for not being as good as you want them to be without having your own miserable reputation spread for being impatient. LFG doesn’t magically enable that, it was cross-realm that did because then everyone you grouped with was an infinitely revolving door of people you couldn’t possibly hope to track or ever see again more than once. You will not have that anonymity anymore and you will be held accountable for your garbage personality.
Not to mention you seem to be forgetting its an ADDON. This doesn’t impact or change how everyone else without the addon plays their game. Good luck getting it removed. You gonna go after discord for existing now too? Hey, at least THAT wasn’t around in Vanilla so maybe you have a real shot at that one. LMAO
