Get rid of m+ affixes that makes people not want to play the game

I wish we could draw a line between a challenging and annoying affix in M+

I know there have been thousands of threads about it but come on, when the affixes are so bad that barely anyone is making groups, maybe it would be a good idea to revisit the said affixes.

I also hate this whole “kiting” aspect in keys, tanks aren’t suppose to run around in circles, they should be able to take a hit and stay alive with proper cooldown management.

Kiting is just annoying and it makes a lot of specs feel miserable.

Sorry for the rant, there is just nothing else for me to do in-game besides M+ right now.

The dog pile of affixes and mechanics can turn this game into an annoying slog.

I had a thread about this a couple years ago. Was pretty popular at the time and was looking at it recently. For the most part I don’t think the people that liked it and were participating in the thread are around anymore. I think that says something.

I personally don’t mind the affixes, they spice things up.

So, I took a break for about 5 months and came back for season 4 and have done I wanna say 4 weeks of dungeons? I think, I’m not positive, all I know is I haven’t played necrotic since before my break.

Is it still an absolute mess? :sob:

Everyone will be running from mobs this week with necrotic and spiteful lol. Makes for a ridiculous week for sure!

Affixes shouldnt be the most difficult thing about a dungeon.

Love being paired with people who don’t even try to help kill them and will wait until the tank pull the next trash. :roll_eyes:

it’s not as bad as it used to be because they nerfed it, but it still bad to the point where tanks aren’t queuing

I 100% agree.

I don’t see any affixes dps have to manage that makes them do 50% less damage

I think the only reason to worry about them would be if you were in a tight space like maybe GD and they need to die. Ooooor, if the healer is having a hard time with mana. Other than that, why waste time killing them?

Problem is, I can only see them addressing this by either nerfing threat or designing every dungeon to be a tight Grimrail-esque corridor.

Root them and walk away. No reason to kill them unless you need out of combat.

The only form of kiting I would accept is something like the fish sticks in Gambit, you either kill or LoS them. And I would not even call that kiting, it’s more like repositioning.

Remember that when you’re in a train car on GD where you barely have any room to work with, and not everyone is gonna have a slow available

Yeah, they won’t heal if you’re far enough.

Yea, I think I knew it was a distance thing. But can you like hide behind a rock with the mobs and the heals don’t land?

I remember long time ago some DK ridiculed my DPS. He says that at my high ilevel gear, I should be doing top DPS. I said to him, Sorry, I was busy killing the Orbs becoz of Explosives Week. But give me other weeks not Explosives, I would humiliate your DPS.

And one sample of such week is Necrotic/Spiteful. Just leave this week to me.

Affixes are fine. There are some rainy days on your specs. What I hate is every week is a faceroll week.
