Also if Blizz were to release classic right now I bet half of the player base will be unprepared.
It is fairly obvious that anything earlier than a September release is a pipe dream at this point.
Not until Blizzard straight-up tells us it is.
11th September because RAF bonuses expire
The classic summer, like the cake is a lie. By August 27th I’ll already be testing for another game and by Sep 10th my summer time effectively ends.
wow classic hype!
I stand by the premise that in order to have a “Classic Summer” the release date would need to allow for substantial play time DURING the summer.
That said, I’ve been waiting over 10 years for this. I’ll take my “Classic Last Week of Summer.”
Three weeks of play time in the summer is plenty.
How about now?
Pumped for Classic Autumn.
It is playable during the summer tho…
I don’t know where you live but by August 27th uni will be in full swing for me.
School starts less than week after launch for me, lot’s of courses that are pretty hard to study solo in home, hmmm I need to clear at least 2 weeks.
Well you should care. I mean the first thing they said was “Done to the usual standards of Blizzard Quality” which is always long production times. Good for them. And good for smart players who aren’t entitled. Bad for you.
I live in America, where summer ends Monday, September 23, 2019.
This is honestly a best case scenario for me. I didn’t draw out this year, so the normal three weeks I take off for hunting are now going to go to Classic’s launch. Late summer means kids will be in school, so less responsibilities and less people online.
Why are you releasing it 1 day after UC system starts fall? Why release it a week before we send our kids back to school? Literally people who do nothing in life are the only ones who will have the time to play it then.
They said “Get ready for a classic summer” they didn’t mean the game will be live. Thinking about it, it’s going to be a classic summer with the beta going on if you get invited to it. lol
Probably should have informed Blizzard so that they could work around your schedule
How much time is everyone planning to spend on it? Honestly speaking the people who are upset sound like they just wanted to be doing nothing for weeks so they could spend ridiculous hours in the game.
The game isn’t released to be played in that manner, in fact it would be irresponsible for Blizzard to encourage that behaviour.
You get to play it in the exact same way you get to play it should it be available any other time of the year.
You deal with your commitments and then you get to play the game depending on your free time available and how you decide to meter that out.
What if I told you that everyone and their grandmother knows that this is exactly what people want to do in this game. It’s axiomatic.
