Why is this even a thread? When knew last year that it was coming out in the summer. The US Summer. Nothing to see here.

Sure, we knew it was being released sometime between June 21 and September 23. The post simply points out that blizzard saying to enjoy a “Classic Summer” would be disingenuous if it released on September 15, for example. The implication being we will get to enjoy it over the summer, not just by the end of summer.
Starting to look like they pulled another one over on us.

But get ready means making preparations. We are close enough to summer that if preparations are to be made, they need to be made now.
There will be a blue post soon. Classic will be delayed by 2 years and it will be released on mobile only.

That’s what it means to YOU. “Get ready” for Blizzard means start the hype… get excited… start the conversation to bring as many people into “the know” as possible to make Classic as successful as possible.
The fact that so many are showing their impatience is just a good indication of how adamant about playing Classic players are.
It’s coming… BETA will be announced this month. Count on it.

lot of delusional thinking going on.
Classic has been announced by Blizzard to currently be in closed Beta available to Blizzard employees. Once that finishes we can expect a month or two of open Beta to Blizzard customers before final release.
They are still on target for summer although I imagine it will be more mid summer than beginning.

It’s about to be mid May and we still don’t have a release date or beta yet.
It’s the 8th of May, that’s hardly “mid”. It’s pretty much smack on 1/4 of the month.
For those in the US it’s still the 7th…
I am starting to get concerned about the lack of a release date. Is there something wrong? Or is someone just being lazy.

That’s why I said it’s ‘about to be’ mid May and it will be next week. Learn to read.
Blizzard has probably hit some snags in development, which is neither unusual nor particularly problematic. Let them take their time and release the best version of Classic that they can. The impatience here comes off as incredibly entitled. You all begged for WoW Classic and Blizzard has generously agreed to try it. Moaning about sharding and release dates (etc) is akin to looking a gift horse in the mouth.
I would rather wait then it come out and the game is massively buggy or things are missing.
