there is no defense for an item that rolls corrupted, that only gives you 3% leech for 17 corruption.
I’m literally wearing an item exactly like that.
then you’re not thinking clearly. unless its one of the only corrupted items you’re wearing, the corruption on the item will result in you taking more damage than the leech will heal.

BTW your 2 15s that you barely timed would have probably failed if your dps didn’t have the top corruptions that you claim people don’t need.

How will corruption do ANY damage to me? Unless you’re trolling your healers, you keep it under 40. And you can easily move 2 inches to the left to stave eyeball dmg. Are YOU thinking clearly?
I’m not a M+ spammer. So me completing a 15 w/ a low geared healer, and dps w/out top tier corruptions, shows how unneeded those corruptions are.
It wasn’t just tanks. Melee dps did an obscene amount from EV. I was wearing a lvl 3 and lvl 2 and it contributed to 20% of my dps, both ST and AoE. It was ridiculously good.
Just an FYI.
Limit is in debt 250m from buying BOE corruption items.
So no the world first guilds did not just have basic corruption.
They also nerfed N’zoth’s HP due to the nerf to echoing void.

My m+ cache gave me a downgrade item and my m+ runs drop secondary stat corruptions. I’m trying to stay positive, but I can’t deny that I’m not bitter that my friends have great gear and blow my damage out of the water. I’ll keep trying but this still sucks.

Buying BOE’s is not even close to saying they only had 1 week’s worth.
Also they have 2.5 weeks worth if you wanna go that route.
They had 2.5 weeks worth when they killed it the 1st-2nd day of the 2nd week? 2 weeks maybe, but .5? And it’s not like they can wear 100+ corruption. Did you watch their streams? None of the ppl the RL was spectating was running from ShadowClones

I just wish people would stop the TF is better. It sends a bad message to the Devs going into Shadowlands if they were ever to give a 
what is said on these forums.
As for corruption - it’s risk/reward that is perhaps nice on paper and maybe single player rpg BUT I don’t find it fun seeing this item can be GREAT but damn I don’t feel like being insta-killed or whatever. Keeping in your bags for later is the opposite of fun.
And for OP’s main message, it’s how generally people are to everything. Whether they need it or not in the content they do… people have generally always wanted it right away, BiS, and then complained 'cause they didn’t get it mailed in their mailbox to the 50 alts they rarely play.

So they cleared heroic 3 full times doing splits.
They cleared 11/12 mythic twice.
They bought BOE’s for 10m.
Yea you don’t need more than 40 corruption when you are literally buy your BIS gear.

Every toon can only get the kill for loot once, no matter how many splits you do.
Optimal, plate toon only splits. Optimal, caster only splits? Sure
But no matter how you state it. It’s 2 weeks of gear.
BOEs were overpriced the 1st week.

The guilds had the final boss down to 25-10% within the 1st 2 weeks with only 1 piece of BiS corrupted gear.
Imagine thinking that’s worth crying about.
When we have max cloaks and multiple BiS corrupted pieces, it’ll be easier for everyone.
Idk 3 weeks of heroic splits seems an awful lot like 3 weeks over 2 weeks.
You also said nothing in the game is tuned around them but they literally retuned N’zoth because of the nerfs.
