Can we stop changing the talent tree every expansion. It gets really annoying.
Theyâre doing flavor modifications to 'em which i generally support.
Except the flavor needs to⊠yknow, bring flavor.
Am I crazy, or will Oracles never cast Premonition on healers? Solace increases healing received, not done, and Insight/Glory apply to damage exclusively. I guess if youâre Discipline itâs strong for you, but still.
To Blizzard: How will Premonition interact with Blessings of the Twin Suns (or whatever itâs called) since this talent replaces Power Infusion?
I think theyâll cast premonition on healing check raid bosses and thatâs it.
Which I think is fine.
No. Try again. Delete everything involving premonition right now. Thereâs still time to try something else. Making PI into support priest is the worst idea youâe had since domination shards. Please PLEASE try again from scratch
Iâm really disappointed in Dark Ranger. Why is this the BM talent tree? Thereâs maybe one dark ranger in game that uses a pet, and all three of the most iconic dark rangers (Sylvannas, Nathanos, and Valeria) fight at ranged as Marksman Hunters AND in melee, dual-wielding. This spec feels like it completely missed 20+ years of Hero flavor.
Similarly, why is Sentinel the Survival / Marksman tree? Dark Ranger and Sentinel need to be swapped, in my opinion. Sentinel is ICONIC for having bows and owl companions, and almost none of them fight in melee as their default weapon style.
Canât wait to see one for Destro lock:
AuraBuffLock
All nodes grant a 0.5% buff to damaging spells & abilities. Capstone grants a 1% buff instead.
Hero talents sound so cool initially but the concept as its currently formed is flawed imo.
It all boils down to slight increases of power, procs, and very little thats exciting. On a tabletop game I guess this would be exciting but I honestly cant see how this is supposed to be exciting.
When you say Keeper of the Grove every old school wow player thinks âAhh yes the grove keepers, dryadsâ. I had assumed this would mean dryad style character customizations like antlers, centaur like features, etc. Nothing about this shows beyond your combat log and its a failure from my perspective. Percent increases and variables added are sexy to to the people that play at the top % of the game but none of this is hype worthy that I have seen thus far.
The concept of ânot changing your classâ but âdifferentâ is too plain, go in one direction or another. Give them added changes to the appearance of your character for actually changing into this hero spec. Give it a few spells that actually change how you play the class or something fun.
Iâm sorry its just so bland. Its effectively just new talents that you have plenty of points to allocate for at some point.
Awww, I wanted to be a Sentinel. I have the transmog and everything
Itâs like thereâs genuine common sense things that they didnât consider?
Iâm confused.
Oh yeah I forgot this is the time of year they spend running around in travel form without a care in the world.
As a holy priest this oracle build looks terrible, I do not cast shield, I donât want more key binds for different 10 second buffs. I macro my feather to drop beneath me, nobody has ever wanted my feathers and itâs to clunky to handle. This oracle tree looks like a straight up downgrade for holy.,
Will we be forced into choosing a hero talent tree?
Each Spec will have 2 available trees, will we have to choose one over the other or can we take the unlocked core ability of both and maybe not reach capstone but have more variety in our decisions? Like perhaps going 5 deep in one tree and 6 deep into the other. I would like to think that if this were the case, the unlocked talents from both trees would work well together
My feedback on the Oracle Tree:
I like the concept of taking Power Infusion and changing it into something that has a bit more choice behind it. However, I think the Premonition talent, as executed currently, feels a bit clunky. Iâm concerned that the slot machine style buff changing every one second will require a weak aura to manage and ultimately be more effort than its worth to time and execute well.
I would like to see it changed away from physical and spell damage to 10% increased primary stat which is easier to manage and then have it function differently. Perhaps instead of having to click it twice it could grant your primary target 10% primary stat and increase the healing received of your next Power Word: Shield or Prayer of Mending target by 25%. I think it accomplishes effectively the same goal but in a more simplified manner and makes the talent feel a bit more powerful but not too powerful.
I think its interesting to slightly give emphasis to rotationally abilities that may have not been used before for Disc and Holy in terms of Prayer of Mending and Power Word: Shield. Itâs an interesting concept to know that an âOracle Disc Priestâ is going to play and maybe even make different build choices than a âVoidweaver Disc Priestâ. Numbers set aside for now, Iâd like to try it out. It, on paper, sounds cool and I canât wait to see the tree get refined more.
The Prompt Deliverance and Angelic Feather choice node is underwhelming and should be revisited. I like the idea of encouraging Priestâs to use feather to give someone else mobility but the execution of that spell and having to ensure someone actually runs through it is a risk thats not worth the trade off. The reduced cool down of purify is simply underwhelming and doesnât even present a real choice. I think something needs to be done with this node.
Clairvoyance is an interesting final node. I like the concept behind it where it âspreads the power of Premonitionâ but the randomness is not very fun. Something that has this level of power behind it needs to be able to be preplanned. Itâs going to feel awful getting this buff when you donât really need it vs those rare times the stars will align and you get it when it really matters. The âhighs and lowsâ of this talent are not a fun aspect of gameplay. I would like to see this either toned down in power but given a higher chance to occur (50% chance but the power its granting is reduced to 50%) or maybe making it an on use talent with a 2 minute CD.
Overall though, I like the tree. I think it needs some tuning (obviously numbers are subject to change at this point), but I think its cool though that it will slightly alter your gameplay in a different and unique way and that is interesting.
Iâm a Zandalari troll with a rich history of worshipping⊠Elune? (Sarcasm)
Clearly you guys have never played MW with the Shaohaoâs Lesson talent. It cycles between 4 buff options and we have to fish to get the one we want. The only difference it seems between this and the new priest hero talent is that Shaohaoâs only buffs the monk.
Edit: after further reading the new priest talent is even more crappy than Lessons. At least ours doesnât cycle past or reset if we donât use it as soon as it comes up.
I think youâre lost old fella.
And barely that.
The only representation of an Oracle that âsees into the future to protect alliesâ is a glorified damage buff and the titles of the talents themselves.
But itâs not Shaohaoâs.
Once u press the button to activate the skill, it starts with a random buff and cycles through all the buffs once per second.
U then have to activate the skill again while u have the target u need for that specific buff and if ur even a little bit late u risk giving the wrong buff to the wrong person.
Shaohaoâs u can tell what u will have ahead of time, donât need to have an extra target available, doesnât require any additional input from aside from the initial skill activation.
just more balance issues incoming
looks like whoever made these trees just got done playing diablo and ff14
Quit adding more complexityâŠReduce the ability back to wrath era and give us stats and gems back like cata. Itâs really not hard blizzard.
