Gearing is terrible and unrewarding because of casuals

My warlock in Vanilla who didn’t get to raid hovered around blue/green gear and basically got stomped on by everyone who did raid. There can be a happy medium between that and what we have now. And I did suggest an alternative system higher up in the thread.

We don’t have BIS anymore.You just have to gear that’s it.None of it is good gear.

It’s sooooo rewarding to know that BiS trinkets will probably forever be horrifically overtuned ones like Balefire Branch or Pearl Divers compass, so I’m going to be forced to farm them virtually forever.

And praying that Residuum gives me straight ilvl upgrades and literally no new traits.

First, benthic takes time to do. Like a lot.

Second, why do you think this thread exist. You don’t need to stay obvious, this is for the nex expansion, with classic success, BfA unrewarding system, maybe the developers will realize people actual love to be rewarding appropriately.

I’m almost 100% sure the mage, Paladin and dwarf are all the same people taking a massive stand against any who will speak against this failed gear system

That seems fine to me. Benthic system next patch seem to be experimenting with this. We have also had similar systems in place before. I’m not advocating for raid or die mentality, I’m simply suggesting effort and rewards to be on the same page.

Are you suggesting World Quest jumping jellyfish require the same effort as Heroic raiding and 2100 rated PVP?

Really,keep going no proof ,no stand.In the long run I hope classic does make it because people would like it so much they would leave retail alone.

I can agree with you there.

No, but the time investment can be equal and appropriate. Let’s not talk about PvP because THAT is truly the most unrewarding system I have seen. Weekly chest rewarding 405…? To 2100, like are they serious.

How? 20 World quester doing 20 jumping jellyfish WQ will get 20 benthic gear.

20 Heroic raider, using flask and potions (not counting wipe and repair bill) might get 2 loot per boss.

Heroic raiding and 2100 rated pvp aren’t even comparable. One is something you can walk into once and beat and the other is something you walk into and not know how to handle everytime you walk into it

What other toon are talking about? Are you now fallowing me and trolling?

Hah, no. I’ve been posting about bugs in beta and I don’t like swapping back and forth constantly between characters (I checked 4 different toons of mine before I found one that had the privileges to post over there). I swapped back and all the notifications that I usually get about topics I’ve responded to popped up. Apparently they’re character specific which just seems silly. Either way, I’m back! Clearly I didn’t miss anything important :slight_smile:

Clearly I do need to state the obvious. They know the extremely vocal minority are salty about loot. And yet they still continue to ignore pleas to remove forging and to return to a loot paradigm of a decade ago. And that’s a wonderful thing. Just as you’re here advocating for a change, I’m advocating that they ignore the vocal minority on the forums and keep doing what they’re doing. Loot is something they’ve gotten right. There’s no reason for people who do mythic raiding to be 2-3 times more powerful than everyone else. Now class balance and fun, that’s a different matter entirely, they need to rethink their plan on how they design each class/spec.

They should just make RNG loot servers and non-RNG servers.

One has Titanforging, rng sockets, rng tertiary’s, RNG bonus rolls, rng M+ box, RNG PvP loot, RNG PvP box, etc.

The other has gear upgrades like MoP, sockets you can make with professions, tertiary’s you can augment thru quests, raid badges, M+ currency that you can buy more than Azerite gear, PvP vendors etc.

Let’s give the players some choice!

They should just get rid of RNG and have it where we can earn the gear using a valor system.Wf/tf is ok for flavor as a surprise but don’t take secandary stats out.I know Blizzard was trying to balance people spec that way but it’s just so awkward.

So add in a fake option, kind like not using ML when it was available? No thanks. That doesn’t add choice, that’s the illusion of choice. You do have a real choice though, you can play retail with the progression wave that carries everyone forward, either through time gated solo content or faster through organized group content or you can go play classic where you get 2 pieces of loot in a 40 man raid, where you can ML and never see a forged item again. Pick your poison.

I go wherever my friends go. If they play classic, I’ll be there. If they go to FF14, ESO, or another game, I’ll swap over too. All I know is that if 8.2 is more of the same garbage, we are definitely heading somewhere else. =\

Edit - also how is that the illusion of choice? You like everything to be RNG, I do not. With my example we could have separate servers and both be happy. It’s a win win

Basically your system wont make sense if NO RNG server dude grouped with RNG server dude in a dungeon.

If you make it so they cant group up, you’re dividing the playerbase even more.

BFA is a dead product.
