Gearing is terrible and unrewarding because of casuals

Do you want to die that badly?

Kevlar thinks esports are the cause of all of the woes and demons in WoW when in fact they do very little to affect it

Personally I sim any change to gear these days…

The more of your posts I read, the more I kind of wish we were able to friend request. :slightly_smiling_face:

Fair point.

I am mostly just amusing myself because he is majorly a one-trick pony. At this point I am surprised he hasn’t blamed global warming on e-sports.

If raiding is a waste of time to you because someone else may have lucked out with a TF piece of gear from a WQ - well, then don’t raid.

and thats really good, im just saying AMR is not a reliable sim platform, use raidbots. AMR doesnt release their APLs and doesn’t talk with theorycrafters for specs, raidbots will give you a more accurate picture of top gear and what not

Are you implying that esports aren’t causing the icecaps to melt?

Then I have a streamer you need to watch, he’ll tell you why you’re wrong

I think if WQ Emissaries, etc… were dropping 400+ ilvl blues and greens and Raids were dropping 400 ilvl purples (same ilvl - slightly higher stats)… we probably wouldn’t be having this conversation. Or if tier gear was still a thing, as someone else here said…

The catch-up gear shouldn’t be the actual gear from the content you are trying to catch up to - it should be slightly behind, so that that gear drops from the raid is an upgrade…

Usually that’s how life works, but in WoW you just stand around and scream “don’t worry about my playstyle worry about yourself” while you afk and you get what you want

I wish more things in life were like WoW. When I wanted a better job I went to school and educated myself so I could accomplish more. WoW makes me think maybe that wasn’t necessary

Is this kinda like going “commando”?

I agree, but since blizzard seems to be throwing out this level of gear like its nothing, alot of these casual players have gotten used to this overpowered feeling of being really geared.

For the record i don’t hate casual players nor do i think there the reason this conversation is happening right now, everybody chooses the way they want to play this game and honestly more power to you guys.

Well… did you?

Sadly yeah.

It’s not like the best gear drops from world quests. Not the best ilvl nor optimal stats and abilities. If you want the best you will run m+ til’ you’re bored to tears or mythic raids until you’re ready to pull your hair out after the 179th wipe.

Get over it, folks. WQ gear is good enough to handle yourself in the world and maybe base mythics, LFR and normal raids.

Fair enough.

ever herd of mdi?..its a m+ esport mario speed run.

World quest is dropping 400 ilvl gear, which is what drops from M+ 10’s, how is that anywhere to ok? Also 400 ilvl gear is right behind mythic level gear by about 15 Ilvls. Now lets bring in WF/TF. Do you see what i’m getting at?

Never wasted a single minute watching the MDI. Tell me how it hurts my gameplay?

Yes the MDI, which pros compete to get the best time. Thats it, the best time. There’s no other rewards for it, so what does the MDI have to do with this conversation?

just face it retail wow is nothing more then a bad esport game.thats why people are loving classic over it because classic wow is a real mmorpg with ZERO esports.
