Gearing is terrible and unrewarding because of casuals

Uh oh. Looks like someone is salty and offended this early in the morning. You ma’am, have yourself a good day.

Requoted since I quoted the wrong person since it appeared they made the comment instead of you.

Yeup.

Game is currently unrewarding as hell for the players that prefer pushing harder content (AP grind, RNG, and the current gearing systems being among the main complaints) and the bleed-out has been terrible.

Add in that the ‘average’ players in game have adopted this “us versus them” bs attitude when it comes to raiders and raiding along with several other community issues…

Any players that earnestly want to get their feet wet on progression and are willing to actually try… can find a spot on a progression team.

That’s also not something owned solely by the casual playerbase. I mean look at the very title of this thread, are you going to tell me the us vs them is only the average guys against the raiders? Really?

Such utter nonsense, you cannot go to jail for having plastic straws in your house. Companies are fined if they provide plastic straws as California considers it (rightly) an environmental hazard.

No, you’re just angry that the gap isn’t as wide as you want it to be. Harder content does reward better gear and it does so at a faster pace compared to people doing more casual content.

While I do somewhat agree with this, I do think it’s a good idea to have alternative gearing methods that are not just Raids/Dungeons and PvP.

What in fel are you frothing at the mouth about?

I’m talking about how the game already works. People who do harder content have many more chances at better gear compared to people doing more casual content.

Tbh…

I’m a casual player, but I raid and I prefer challenging content.

The amount of unwarranted vitriol I’ve received over the past year any, and every, time that I’ve mentioned my opinion, or stance, or feel about my preferred content on the GD forums has been beyond the pale, tbh.

Man has a point.

That statement is what I’m questioning.

Because there’s no reason to want to change things unless you want to push down the people who aren’t playing the game the “right” way.

I don’t disagree, but that was not my point. My point was there is plenty of vitriol coming from the other direction as well. See: the OP of this thread. It’s not the only one of course, but a good example.

Both sides have jerks on their “team” it’s not a casuals (good) vs hardcores (bad) or a hardcores (good) vs casuals (bad). It’s hardcores (jerks) vs casuals (jerks).

That is a fallacy.

i am sorry if this offends anyone but i think it is people like the op who ruin the game , not the casuals, you cry loud because someone who doesn’t spend mass time in dungeons is only 20 item levels behind you, pretty damn childish imo.

This is why casuals are such awful people. Lazy and entitled. No society can exist with these people they are literally parasites.
Parasites that continue to suck the life from this game as they have done since they were little wrathbabies.
If the fundamental design of the game allows strangers to have the same gear as you , while you shouldn’t hate the player you should definitely hate the game .
If there is no/minimal difference in gear between those who put minimal effort in and those who put maximum effort in…what’s the point of the effort?

Why do casuals hate that people put in the effort might have something that they can’t get.

They’ve chosen to play an mmo as a single player game. Why should they have access to the multiplayer rewards?

OK, then why else would you possibly care about what gear someone else is getting, especially since odds are very low that you’ll ever see them in-game, and even lower odds that you’ll even notice their gear level.

I want the system changed because it feels very broken for me. It has nothing to do with what someone else is wearing. It has to do with feeling like all casual version of progression has been completely stifled.

Casuals are going to hit a wall eventually, the current system just extends it farther out.

Maybe because Invalidating all content outside of like 2100 arena/RBGs mythic raiding and 10+ keystones isn’t good for the game? Why do anything more then once when I can get comparable gear for doing 4 wq in 20 mins vs being skillfull and knowledgeable of the game to succeed at group content
