Gearing is terrible and unrewarding because of casuals

We have all done +10 and that is what we are talking about. Also, I guess I am now a Mythic raider because we killed the first 2 bosses!

My statement that he responded to was that a +10 is nowhere near as difficult as a mythic raid, and that a +19 is about as difficult as M Mekka. Do you think I am wrong here?

That is why the reward is less then Mythic 415. Since, I haven’t done more than two bosses I can only comment on those two. Only two bosses killed I got 4 pieces of Mythic loot!

Of course it doesn’t because that’s not the point. Nor have I said your opinion is wrong. I said I don’t care what your opinion is. What you think is or isn’t harder doesn’t matter at all. It’s not relevant in the discussion. The only reason you bring it up is to try to pretend your opinion holds more water than everyone else’s. It doesn’t.

I feel like if someone has experience in a subject their opinion should hold more weight than someone who has zero experience. Do you walk in to your doctor’s office and tell him his diagnosis is wrong because you looked at webmd for 5 min?

Now, would I take the opinion of someone who’s watched, say, Football for the last 8 years over someone who just casually watched it for a few weekends? Maybe, but experience doesn’t equal intelligence or creativity. I wouldn’t dismiss an opinion unless it directly contradicts itself, or contradicts known fact.

I like how I don’t even need to respond to the ridiculousness of that claim, multiple people already had it covered. But better yet, let’s go talk to the developers and see what they think about the matter? Oh wait, in 8.2 they’re giving us M+ gear that’s 5 ilvl lower than Mythic raiding, exactly like it is right now. Guess we know what the only authority on the matter thinks. And I agree with them. So no, I don’t care what some self professed expert nobody thinks.

No, Blizzard should be making the game for the players , not a sub-group of players, no matter the perceived “size”. Add to the fact that everyone’s definition of casual and elitist are different and how can anyone know what a casual player really wants if we can’t even agree on what a casual player actually is?

I absolutely agree with you on this…but Blizzard is apparently not capable of making content for players. They haven’t been since MoP. Therefore we get groups of players attacking and blaming one another for stupid developer decisions.

As for casual versus elitist, people do have different definitions but we each usually can identify ourselves.

So the fact that no one really responded to my compromise makes me believe that it really is about keeping the heirarchy in the game. The “I do elite content, kiss my boots filthy peasant” attitude that was prelevent in the beginning of the game.

    Oh man, I just want everyone to know that I stand correct AGAIN that this is our current community, no clue why people don't see that. Which is why I'm honestly hoping that it will get better in the future...

Can you blame them? They have to be careful what terms they use in this day and age, people get their feelings crushed and get bent out of shape over almost nothing. People wake up and look for reasons to get offended.
