Gearing is terrible and unrewarding because of casuals

Oh,different classes.Yeah you can get them also when darkmoon faire is in town by using tokens to up grade and buy them.

You need gear to survive in PvP. Or would you rather have a world where raiders curbstomp everyone else simply because they have access to better gear?

There was a time where that happened. It was called WoD.

Iā€™ve always said TF should be capped at the next difficulty ilvl. So for BoD Normal 385 canā€™t TF past 400. Heroic TF canā€™t go past 415. Mythic gets up to 425.

Man BfA makes me miss WoD. Thanks for reminding me

Thatā€™s another discussion ,let not head down that path.

Who didnt like sitting in a garrison waiting till raid day.

Pretty much what I do in Boralus.

The game still needs to have a sense of progression and challenges for different skills levels. WoW is packed full of content. From pet battles, to professions, to working the auction house, to PvP, and from FLR to Mythic Raiding. None of us can expect to be able to do it all or have all the skills to do it all.

I enjoy all levels of content. Sometimes itā€™s fishing or pet battles. Sometimes itā€™s PvP or Raiding. The wonderful thing about WoW is it invites all types of players to it. Which is fantastic.

I actually like the current gear system and the progression of difficulty from LFR to Mythic raiding. I think that Blizzard has it right. The problem is that in the past higher level gear rewards gave a sense of accomplishment for the various levels of raiding. That doesnā€™t exist any longer. Gear is more rewarded for participation then on skill difficulty. Which is good because it gets players up to LFR and into normal raiding where they can testand challenge their skills in raiding.

My fix is to the problem is to make gear ilevel not be seen as the main reward for raiding accomplishments and to do this Blizzard could give out unique rewards for the various levels of raiding. Mounts, titles, transmog sets. The goal is to make these items represent the players level of accomplish and not the item level of their gear.

I understand. You are hoping to go back to a time where gear would be able to carry you. When people would look at your epics and assume you knew what your doing.

But no longer OP. Gear no longer distinguishes you. You have to fall back on your ability to play the game. And judging by the fact that, you are 416 ilvl, but actually perform at a 400 level, I can understand why you need that gear advantage back.

Gearing feels super artificial this expansion, the gear from mythic + collides with raid gear, add warforging and titanforging to the mix with a chest that randomly has the best gear in the game that you might get once a week, and you get an experience that can best be described as disappointing. BFA was the 1st ever expansion i didnā€™t feel good about getting a BIS weapon. There is something very wrong with this reward system they built.

I quit in october, went to a private server, and was foaming at the mouth over a weapon that dropped in a dungeon at level 18.

Hmm,unique reward per level of experience.Like level 400 -unique transmog,410-special effect, and 415 new weapon ability?

That there is a life lesson.lol.

And running gold missions!

This story makes me wonder what your friend is up too nowā€¦

I havenā€™t raided since Kara original, and my main character now has 399 gear, mostly from standing around at the back of world boss battles while watching TV lol youā€™re right OP, the best gear and coolest things should be from the most effort. When everyone is special, no-one is.

And why weā€™re on it Blizzard, please stop getting all the NPCs and faction leaders telling me iā€™m some champion or hero Iā€™m basically a retard lol

He kinda disappeared. Mightā€™ve carked it, even. He was about as round as he was tall (though he wasnā€™t very tall) and had this terrible deep cough for years.

I do expect for Classic to outnumber current game in players, you need to understand thereā€™s a lot of unsubbed people waiting, some who havenā€™t even played in years, and thereā€™s plenty subbed too, just the entire guild my warrior is in is going to Classic, thereā€™s entire discord communities already setting up, no idea how theyā€™ll handle so many people at launch.

Old expansions require little work compared to new content, if everyone is playing old stuff, it sends them clear signal what people want, and they surely wonā€™t spend all their resources on new expansions with more free loot and stuff, but rather try to adapt the current game to old views. And if not that, you can expect current game going into more paid content to fill the gap.

I donā€™t like the way islands are made at all, I expected something new, like custom generated maps with exploration and maybe some difficult enemies to beat, and I actually thought theyā€™d be a way to gear, like mythic+ is, instead of just being Group up a bunch of mobs and AoE, low chance for reward at end.

Thanks for arguing with me as well.

I know people that can afford only 2-3 hours a day to play, and they still do mythic+ and raid on weekends, thereā€™s time, thereā€™s no one out there that has absolutely no time. And not just do, they got further than I did, at +20 runs.

I am pretty sure there is a correlation to how little you hit Ivus and how good your reward will be. I swear the times I have been there the whole time have been hereā€™s some AP and oh uh some more AP, but get there just in time to cast a dot? HERE HAVE ALL THE GEAR. Itā€™s a plot.
