So I came back to the game and wanted to be casual. I don’t wanna focus on raids, or mythics. I’m mostly interested in PvP, and world PvP

Considering doing arenas, but not there yet

Anyway, I decided I’d gear up via casual world quests, and random BGs. All expansion I’ve heard people complain about gearing via BGs, so this is sort of my experiment

Wanna know what my last 2 pieces I got were?

Cloaks

Yeah, freaking cloaks. Nice blue cloaks that are utterly useless because everyone has a leggo cloak now

Why are these still in the loot tables?

This system just seems so… Not thought out, for lack of a better word.

Like it was tossed together last minute because a system was needed for PvP, but not really fleshed out completely, or tested to make sure it was enjoyable, or even a truly viable way to gear

I’m not mad, just confused why THIS was the system that was chosen for PvP gearing.

I’m starting to think I might get a full set by the time shadowlands drops :thinking:

Edit: Just got my 3rd cloak from BGs. Gonna have this set done by Shadowlands :ok_hand:

I think the intended system is filling the conquest bar, and if you grind BGs you will get 445 gear and after that 465 (?) gear. Of course, ilvl isn’t everything. js

Jsut spam BG’s… queue times seem to have become reasonable and even horde side is pretty good . You will run through the CQ bar and get your gear and have fun too.

I disagree with this…you wont have fun…but youll get your welfare gear.

It’s fun for the most part, but getting stuck in a 1v1 with a 650k health Ele shaman wasn’t so fun

You just can’t compete with mythic+ or raid gear when you’re on BG welfare

Skip pvp.
Do heroic warfront, 460 piece
All the invasion stuff, 445s
Any 445 emissary stuff that pops up,
Rings/Trinkets/non-azerite trait gear from mythic dungeons

THEN you’ll probably be at a 445-450 average ilvl and most of your team/enemy will be in the same range.

It’s so engaging that I spend most of my time making 20’s to do the 20-29 bracket with. I feast on levelers in protest!

Oh I am always Building, although flying around looking for WPVP is slim pickings.
15 years of Gearing Options won’t go to waste with me around.
Acti wants to break down the oldest Pub in Town to build a Condo. :man_shrugging:
