You’re talking about the mage fleeing from the shaman. Why is he bothering to cast gpie? In any case, there’s also grounding.

Peeps on this thread that support/play twinks but don’t want to fill a conquest bar = yikes. lol

Just to clarify I wasn’t talking about you, kang.

Also kind of curious why the OP got so many likes. I mean, to think you can just play casual BGs and good gear will get dropped on you to use?

Understood and Ty.
I am not the OP, but at one point in time we could Gear as we played Random BGS and even choose our Pieces from a Vendor. Crafted PVP Gear was a viable option for entry level characters. Rated rewarded better Gear, with Rating increase.

You can still do that, just not choose which slot from the vendor. But each piece from the cp reward is what you’d see on a vendor.

He got likes because the current system is bad and everyone misses actual good pvp vendors and gear

Even if they added vendors, people would complain random BGs are lower ilvl than those with higher rating/M+ gear.

My only issue with this is that even playing super casually, I’m still required to grind gear that’s of no use to me

I’m on trinkets for my conquest bar, and I currently have a normal Ny’alotha obsidian claw, and a heroic dragonscale from the dungeon weekly.

And now I’m required to grind through gear that is not an upgrade, or even wanted. I don’t need trinkets at all. Meantime I’m sitting with 425 gloves because I haven’t reached that piece yet in the weekly grinds

The gearing path is FAR too linear and restricted in PvP.

I really feel they didn’t give this system any thought at all. Like someone just wrote out a list of gear pieces, then they just numbered them
1-14, and were like “There we go, award these pieces on these weeks!” And slapped it all together

There’s some decent pvp trinkets that come in handy for pvp more than what you have equipped.

I also noticed during BFA’s trinket week that a trinket we would normally be able to get from a PvP vendor was missing.

Idk if the quest system has a limit to the number of possible rewards they can offer, or if they just plain forgot.

Now, I have to hope that this PvP trinket randomly drops from a weekly chest or something.

You get a choice from 5-6 trinkets.

My point still stands that I’m required to grind gear that’s of no use

People shouldn’t be required to grind through gear they don’t need to get pieces they do

Imagine if you couldn’t get Ny’alotha gear until you finished the full Eternal Palace set

The forums would go up in flames

They could stop us from getting any other gear then. Don’t complain too much.

“It could be worse, so be grateful”

Lol that’s the perfect catchphrase for BFA

At this point, to make PvP gearing worse, Blizzard would have to also start gating bis PvP gear behind pet battles, cooking, fishing, archaeology, and cross-game promotions.

Even tho this is a joke. I could actually see them doing that lmao

Pls no!

not hard to filter out the reasonable from the unreasonable complaints.

truth

exactly.

Forgot to add. If your sole intention is to cap conquest and you don’t care where from, do all the wpvp quests, look for crate drops, do the invasion quests with wm on. It’s like 60 conquest if you do all 5.

Get at least 1 2v2 and 1 3v3 arena win and you’re conquest capped in no time. This doesn’t mean that the system is terrible and that nothing short of a vendor would fix things, but bg’s are for fun and goofing off. The conquest earned there is just a side bonus.

differences in gearing for pvp. ill gear my tink first, then pvp. starting at the bottom as a fresh 120 is how blizzard makes you play their way. im ok with 1v4ing you and your friends as you level new alts through 110 playing my way. one mythinc ant run a week. thats as grindy as it gets at 110.

The reason is you play casual bgs and get absolutely crap gear to drop. If you want to cap your conquest gear which still leaves duel wielders short a weapon and trinket? It is literally impossible to gear in any way shape or form through casual bgs.

Therefore infinitely worse than the old system where you could get a mediocre set in a not terrible amount of time.

Not hard to like a post thats trashing this garbage system. Whether you’re casual or hardore PvP gearing is garbo compared to it’s pve counterpart. People have a right to be annoyed they have sub par gearing.
