Very possible. It’s just in our nature to want what someone else has. Those who don’t get what they want are more inclined to take precautions to win the second time around.
I know I’ve been tempted to buy a mythic mount run or two. Earned gold obviously, but not everyone has an in-game nest egg.
Like a casino. You will never convince me that they don’t pay people to raise and fold in limit games for hours on end.

Idk I been in a lot of gdkps, literally every week since classic.
Only have ever gotten a few huge payouts.
Typically they like 900-2k.
I also don’t do current tier since I raid with my guild.
Even ashes in my 1 run only went for 41k.

The first time you bump up something to 10k and noone else bids on it would be the last time you juice it.

You don’t boost the ending bids. You just have to make people think the item will go higher. Early bidding makes the bidding more lively.

Wow can be considered pay to win depending on your definition of it. Pay to progress, pay for convience etc.

It doesn’t matter what definition you use, WoW is very very low on the pay to whatever list.
Yea the argument is that wow is pay to win, regardless of how low it is on the predatory scale. The problem with a game being pay to win, is it eventually and slowly becomes more and more pay to win IE predatory in game systems that try to get people to use real life money. Like I dont know, 100k legendaries…
I am not saying wow is super pay to win or just as bad as lost ark or BDO, im saying that it has p2w elements in it right now but there is basically hardly any predatory system on top of it. I am just calling it out so it doesnt happen, and im also saying classic isnt pay to win because it doesnt allow you to buy gold.
But yea, this guy is basically saying Wow is not pay to win at all. I am simply disagreeing with him.
People would have very little problem with GDKPs if there wasn’t gold buying in this game, and it’s very obvious when you play with gold buyers.

I think overall in game moderation for people selling or botting in wow has been a big issue for a while now… not only in retail but in classic.
Its more important in classic because retail you can just buy gold anyway so the value of gold doesnt really mean anything to most people in retail.

True, you need to be either full t6 carry or a buyer to find a SSC/TK or a ZA run, gearing your toon for endgame is about how mutch gold you can afford to buy and its kinda sad.

I raid with guild on my main, current content when we stopped doing ssc/tk I did a few gdkps cause why not. I only do GDKPs on my alt who was a shaman started out with like 4k gold from leveling bought alot of BT and hyjal gear and some ssc tk crap Ended up with 38k on that shaman from gdkps while gearing him out. Why cause I didnt buy the one or two over priced items “belt of 100 deaths months ago” Server first glaives on a war or rogue or even Cvos or DOG staff but I did buy A whole lot of other BIS items for my class or 2nd bis items. To top it off almost every GDKP ive went to I have landed a ITEM or two and Still made gold.

Yes huge payouts are extremely rare contrary to what you say, you make it seem like every run people are just throwing out crazy amounts of gold. Like you just enter the magical kingdom of GDKPs and youre showered with 100,000 gold a week…
Highest payout was 2700 gold for current content items.
