One thing I don’t understand from the video is how he says bots get banned after a few months.
People on era seem to bot on their main. Naxx geared characters fish botting in bay of storms is normal. Hunters in epics are botting toxic horrors 24/7.

Its crazy how you people dont realize that if you kill gdkp on era it would kill the raiding scene overnight.
Good luck filling raids with competent players and getting people to raid on their geared mains when they have zero incentive to be there.
This isn’t a fresh progression server, there is no future phases to act as a carrot on a stick for people to continue investing in their characters. The entire foundation of the raid scene on era is people running gdkp on their bis characters to fund gearing new alts while carrying others alts on their mains ensuring the raids go smooth for everyone involved, if you remove the gold incentive for raiding on bis characters the entire thing falls apart.
The fantasy scenario where everyone keeps raiding as they are in soft res runs and all help each other to gear like saints is unfortunately a pipe dream.

The game is designed for guilds to group and gear players because they need them to progress into any content levels.
The GDKP system has stagnated guild progression, and honestly destroyed people’s expectations of what you do at 60.
ZG/AQ20/Ony/MC are packed with gold “buyers” in greens and toxic guilds leeching from their IRL wallets
I can show you Screen Shots of someone posting a full green character and 8k in their bag getting into AQ40/BWL
Good luck getting dungeon gear, or even having it matter
Vanilla era is the most pay to win, backwards system, specifically invented by players looking for irl profits from in game items.

GDKPs are run by Professional wow gamers or gold farmers and the people who join GDKPs can’t play WOW. If your joining a GDKP its because you don’t know how to play the game and have to pay someone else to play it for you. It honestly doesn’t matter. The morons who can’t play the game go and pay for it, while the smart people who know how to play WOW just play the game and never pay for a single thing.

GDKPs warp realm culture for the worse. It’s been verified over and over through Classic’s lifespan. So far, the only more destructive practice to communities has been transfers.

The guild progression meta works fine on FRESH PROGRESSION servers
Newsflash, era has been and will be stuck in phase 6 forever.
There is no “progression” anymore, everything is on farm, and its naive to expect there to be a Neverending rotation of new players to keep the “progression” mindset going.
