No one who farmed their gold is going to drop 6k on trash items, sorry. RMT all the way, people used to leave MID RAID to go grab their gold from their “friend” as they called it on discord.
Oh i’m quite aware, but I also know they are realistically only buying 2-3k gold at a time not 10-15k. Even if it’s 50% of this round’s population that’s still only a fraction of what was being bought in 2019.
Now multiply by the amount of people who are now buying gold because of no gdkp.
MORE gold is being sold.

Fewer, because there isn’t a need to have 10k gold anymore without GDKPs.
This is a big one that I don’t really hear talked about enough since the conversation usually revolves around RMT. In the very brief time before GDKPs in classic, what would happen if you wanted to play an alt is you’d join another guild that didn’t conflict with your current guild’s raid times. This ended up being a trickle down effect, where alts of good guilds would play in mediocre guilds and in essence made them good. It was a positive feedback loop; bad guild recruits good guild alts, good guild alts make bad guild into good guild, good guild can find better players. For better or worse, this dynamic doesn’t really exist with GDKPs in the game; even if GDKP pugs become like a guild, they aren’t the same. The vibe of the overall game felt different.
Although I do appreciate blizzard’s efforts to restore that vibe, I think GDKP is a fine system in of itself and Blizzard should just ban the people who buy gold but that’s just me.

Wrong because there is nothing you can spend said gold on, no one is buying 10k just to hold 10K. But back in 2019? you had a new gdkp running every few hours for every new alt you made.
The warrior starter kit alone is 10k gold LOL.

1 person buying 10k? try 10 raid slots to every GDKP hosted. 1/4th of the raid buying 10k at a time. vs now? maybe 5 lazy people in a raid who don’t want to spend 3 hours a week gold farming for their consumables?
Yeah id say far less gold being bought now total. not even factoring in that we only have 1/5th the population as 2019.

huh? who said anything about 300k? I said 10k minimum bid in naxx and 6k minimum bid in AQ 40? Why do you keep bringing up gressil and “outliers” Those were standard minimum bid prices in 2019 lol.

These 10k mins are massive outliers.
Again i went with current AH prices on Nightslayer ally rofl, it would be OVER 10k for a swiper to buy everything on a warrior.
Majority of the gdkps were 200-1k min bids.
