GDKP is just money laundering but in a video game

If this was a standalone game, maybe consider their grievances.

This is one of like 6 versions of WoW. Leveling doesn’t exist in most of the others, but it was a huge part of Vanilla for the majority of players. That’s the audience this should be catered to.

The Sweatlords already have plenty of other options.

Who said they dont enjoy it?

Its a sped up version of wow and people dont want to spend 120 hours on an alt.

Theres things to do now on alts like rank up in pvp.

So by your logic, people should conform to the game, Vanilla, not the other way around? Is that correct? If so, interesting

They clearly don’t enjoy leveling a second time hence why they’re paying for a boost to bypass leveling right?

Of course. I’ve said that since this forum opened. Players need to adapt to the old game, not the other way around.

I will say as a caveat that certain changes can actually create a more authentic Vanilla experience. For example: disabling world buffs in raids.

So it’s more accurate to say the experience should be the goal, compensating for modern knowledge and player behavior.

They’re paying so they can speed it up to get things done on the alt this phase because spending 120 hours leveling up would mean they might miss out on stuff.

Pretty simple.

To be fair there are some of us who would be on go round number 10 or higher. The vanilla leveling experience is good but it’s not that good lmao. If I could hit a button and spawn at level 48 (still have to finish leveling and get preraid geared ect) I’d do it every time. Even if it came with caveats like, not even being able to start playing until a month into the first raid being open. It would be better than doing 1-48 leveling again.

Do you feel like that’s good for the overall longevity of the game? Like do you think an acceptable amount of people would just play a game without changes indefinitely?

They disabled world buffs in SoM and it was a disaster that most people hated.

This dude is an ignorant moron.

Yes. The audience still exists.
And people who don’t like it will play Retail. Or progression servers, or seasonal servers.

I feel like you’re agreeing but just phrasing it in a different way. They’d rather not “miss out on stuff” than spend that time leveling. By this comparison, they prefer not missing out on stuff to leveling. Maybe saying they don’t like leveling isn’t strictly accurate sure but I really just meant they like whatever activity more than leveling a second time .

Speeding up leveling to be able to raid with friends doesnt mean they hate leveling

You sound as ignorant as that old troll.

Yeah I think most people who boost rather just not level via non boosting methods a second time simply because they don’t like those methods as much after completing it for the first time. I don’t think that’s ignorant but sure go off I guess.

I think I just have a different position; I don’t think I could play the same game without any changes for an extended period of time. I feel like I’d just get bored.

Exactly my point and I don’t think you’re alone with that position.

You can’t understand that someone boosts to get an alt up for the current phase doesn’t mean they hate leveling, and that’s ok.

I love leveling but my alt is getting boosted so I can have enough time to prep him for BWL.

Simple concept if you use a tiny bit of critical thinking.

Playing with an efficiency mindset isn’t wrong or diabolical. Its when you get obsessed about it because then you start to go rotten. See again: bracket mafias, RMT, my way or the highway, etc

Oh I understand. I just don’t think that’s a majority opinion. I think the reason level boosting is as popular it is currently is because a lot of people don’t really enjoy traditional leveling methods that much after the first play through. Like the other guy said, if given a path of lesser resistance, I feel like a lot of people would take it.

Another day of gdkps banned what a great day

No one is going to change anyone’s mind.

Let’s just get back to insulting people
