Gdkp! boosts! carrys!

Chopping off one head horribly backfired so the only way to fix it is to keep chopping of heads until it works.

The wisdom of crowds.

Give your stuff to me. Jezzalock expects you to be kindly. I’m not gonna lay such expectations on ya. I’m willing to take your stuff even if you’re nasty.

That’s too harsh. I spent two years in Japan and learned to speak passable Japanese but that doesn’t mean I can speak Spanish and French etc. I’d prefer to play on a mostly English speaking server. That’s not bigotry. I’d imagine you’d rather be on an English or whatever your first language server than a Japanese server.

Doing the same thing over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. You should change it up, sawing a head off or tying the body to a tree and the head to a car and pulling it off. Be creative!!!

english and german are only a step removed from spanish, italian and so, day and night compared to japanese. Its of course just fine to not understand them, but to be annoyed by other people talking to each other in their language is weird af. Like when I go to a chinese place and they all speak chinese, I shouldnt be eavesdropping even if they were speaking my language, why would it suddenly become an issue because its chinese?

A restaurant? Of course you shouldn’t be eavesdropping. You’re there to eat not socialize with the strangers at the other tables. But wow is a game the requires communication and socialization is also part of it. My sister is a member of a quilting group but the main purpose isn’t making quilts, it’s chatting with the other quilters. If every one was speaking a language she couldn’t understand she wouldn’t go. That’s not bigotry.

They should have their own server rather than using the NA servers. Same reason there shouldn’t be Chinese players on NA servers. It’s an MMO that requires communication. A lot of the Spanish speaking South American/Chinese players are also getting accounts at $4 per month because of regional pricing changes and abuse the low cost entry model to scam other players and take part in RMT/botting(RMT is also culturally accepted in these areas so the gaming culture is VASTLY different in these regions).

Blizz just needs to give them their own servers then region lock them out of NA/EU servers. Would improve their experience with lower latency anyways.

I have zero issues with this.

I am part of a guild and I also have a list of friends and we group together. Have we had a random person who does not speak English? Yup, we do our best to communicate and move on.

Rare is the communication part in WoW. People barely say hi in groups so this nonsense that everyone is holding hands and singing in groups and having reunions 10 years later so it all needs to be in English (by others not you) is total nonsense.

Segregating them into their own servers and into their own channels is just a form of xenophobia.

People need to get out of their little comfy homes and be part of the larger world.

If I was Mexican I’d be asking Blizzard for a Spanish speaking server for Latin America. My wife’s grandparents lived in America and they all went to a spanish speaking church even though there were many English speaking churches near by. Were they xemophobic?/shrug

Forcing people on to servers and locking out in participating in North America Servers or forcing them to their own channels is very much xenophobic.

I didn’t see anyone suggest they be forced to certain servers or locked out. Only that there should be Spanish speaking servers as well as English speaking servers. I think the vast majority of Spanish speaking players would choose a Spanish speaking server and the vast amount of English speaking players would choose an English speaking server.

For your reading pleasure

Guess I missed that post. I’ve kinda been skimming over most of WF’s posts recently. Let’s say most aren’t suggesting they be forced to certain servers or locked out.

Not all for sure, but a few (imo) highly suggested it (OP) though were a tad nicer than the one I linked.

Of course not. But if she then made a fuss on their online forums or neighbourhood about how wrong and annoying it is for them to talk in their language, as the OP did, then it would be.

Lets say Im at the US and miss home, so I make a peruvian restaurant with ads in spanish using peruvian jargon to try and draw fellow expats to chat about the homeland. Not coming is fine. Being pissy and annoyed because you cant read an ad not aimed at you would be bigotry. Even if its public, its just not for you, move on and continue your day.

A lot of the Spanish speaking South American/Chinese players are also getting accounts at $4 per month

Slander. South America pays the same 15$ as the US. Probably more on some countries considering how trash their economies are, since online transactions use the official pricing, not the real currency value.

Latins are disrespectful and loud, so they’re not ideal players, but what does it have to do with the game requiring communication? You wont meet over 99% of the server through your playtime, Faerlina is just too big. What difference does it make to you that there is a tiny subsection of players you cant talk to?

Even in RDF, where you may argue you cant efficiently communicate the argument doesnt really work because current RDF content is stupid easy and doesnt need any typing anyways. Besides, even in english most players wont read anything you type and trying to play desktop general will likely cause you to get votekicked.

Segregating them into their own servers and into their own channels is just a form of xenophobia.
People need to get out of their little comfy homes and be part of the larger world.

But Latins HAD our own servers, Blizzard killed them and forcefully merged us into the larger realms. Many then rerolled (we’re not the sort to pay for transfers, but there were some as well) on Faerlina or Whitemane because latin gamers tend to be competitive minded. Not skilled, but some weird casual tryhard hybrid. So we all flock to the largest server of our faction because we like being where its at.

Watch out little bro popping off with the facebook quotes

Same, the fact that they locked all servers but megarealms show where their priorities are. They want people involved in more GDKP, boosting, and carry spam, so they sell more tokens. Classic is long gone.

I’ve played on Sulfurus in Classic, I was very used to Spanish speaking players. I am guessing the horde from Sulfurus moved to Faerlina when it was locked. Not wanting to play with people you cannot understand does not make you a racisit. The people in this thread saying that are ridiculously stupid.

I’ve played a little bit of SoD this past week. There is no spam for services/GDKP, it is very nice. The economy is absolutely fantastic. However, I think they locked the servers down and opened transfers onto mega realms like Classic. So you still may not like that. But give it a shot.

Seems to have calmed down since earlier in SoD. I don’t see any portal/summon spam anymore. Very rare.

Do you really think this is a facebook quote? You do realize that most of these famous quotes were written before there was an internet don’t you? Often centuries earlier. Most of us older people got these quotes from reading books.

Don’t just cut that one sentence out, link the rest. Region locking ensures that people paying $4 a month for accounts aren’t abusing the regional pricing to take part in RMT and violate ToS with low investment cost.
