I did a few GDKPâs back in the day and I might do them again later on but for the most part Iâm making a guild and doing 10 and 25 man, I did it before Iâll do it again, nothing these GDKPâs will do anything to stop my progress.
id rather save my gold for other things than on gear i could get from pugs that would be in the game instead of GDKP that currently plagues the game. I play the classes i made very well, I gear up as best I from pvp gear, to badge gear when I could find heroics, and the few raid pieces i got from the rare pugs i could find.
however i stepped away from the game this past few weeks, to test the beta and get some fun in on other games.
Iâll return when the fresh servers go live and level new toons. and if they fail, if they become just like the current servers maybe ill be lucky enough to be in a guild and not need worry about it. if not well I hear dragonflight has a pretty dope flying mechanic and if that fails shrug uninstall and move on again. plenty of games to play, and sure i might be back down the road for anotehr expansion for retail, because lmao im not touching a classic CATA server if blizz does that itll crap the bed. maybe itll have 1 single server if they consolidate all the dead servers . thats a big mayybe tho

The person who runs regular GDKPs (aka gets to raid regularly with good players), is probably rolling in gold and good gear, and is good at the game?
Or the person whining on the forums about being broke, not being able to get a raid group, and not having enough gear? 
Do you actually run GDKPs though? Because Iâve done them weekly for awhile and the majority of the guys are garbo to mediocre at best. Actual good players are in raiding guilds getting their BIS for free. Seems reeeeally strange to me that you would say good players are in GDKPsâŚ
OP you are struggling because the expansion is over man. Has nothing to do with GDKPs. People donât want to run BT ad infinitum to gear up some rando new guy, we are done with this xpac and waiting for wrath.
That being said, thereâs alot of new guilds forming that are running early content to gear up rerollers and new players for wrath. Join one of them and start from the ground up. No one is going to take a crap geared player into a guild BT. You either need to be a buyer in a GDKP, or gear up step by step. Thatâs how old school WoW has always worked.

Sorry to say but sucks man.
Youâre trying to hop into established raids with nothing, and with everyone on a timer for TBC since we know Wrath is a little over a month away.
People are leveling alts.
People are farming gold.
People are prepping professions.
People are doing things that isnât raiding.
If TBC was your favorite expansion like you claimed, then you should have probably not quit the game?
Right now if you want to raid you have a couple options.
Make your own raid.
Go slave away in some trash SR run.
Go be a buyer in a gdkp.
In all honesty your best bet is to go be a buyer. P1/P2 gear is cheap.
Itâs not a pay wall. You have the ability to make your own raids and run it how you want.
But whatever though, go rage about everything else because you quit and came back late I guess.

Join a high pop realm, on mine there are many, MANY new guilds being formed planning to raid current and in Wrath. GDKPâs arnât going anywhere anytime soon.
Also Fansong is correct, you fans are overfilling my pockets with gold.

your not getting into a group if gDKPS disappear. SR and MS>OS just gets more strict because theres more people.

Id beg to differ since there would be a plethora of groups LFM instead of 95% GDKPS with a rare glimpse of SR>OS or such.
You donât need to worry, gdkps arenât going anywhere, enjoy them in wotlk.

Fresh is a meme.
They will be a thing.
As soon as progression guilds get their gear out of a raid, they will be running GDKPs for gold. Itâs just a matter of how fast they gear up.
The question is how long they wonât be a thing for. It will be determined by a few things. How bad is gear needed? Clearing 25 kt week one? Time to start gdkp because gear from there on is just making things easier but making gold gets marginally easier.
Really I think it becomes what makes sense for min bids to be placed at.

in SoM GDKPS were happening week 1 of raids so i assume that GDKPs will happen week one of fresh servers
