Also I don’t know what station I turned the tv on but it is an odd movie where the premise is the main characther didn’t know they entered a murder pact with someone else, and by murder pact I mean “I kill your wife you kill my mom.”

There is also Alfred Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train that has a similar plot and was made in 1951. If it is in color then Cyndilou is correct, as usual.
