No, you’ll still have to go to Korthia and get to renown 44 and do a quickie questline.
But even if you’re behind on renown, dang near everything you do should reward it now.

People know they get more of an audience in General Discussion. The category “General Discussion” is very vague it can be anything WoW related. It’s the first option people see when they select forums, I think “Story” category is somewhere below TBC forum listing, close to the bottom I think.
They just want to prevent spam and place it where it should be categorized correctly.
