It’s little more than a footnote in-game right now, but their relationship is fleshed out more in the novel Shadows Rising and the short story Terror by Torchlight.
tyrande and malfurian built a massive empire that stretched 10000 years. Flynn is a literal meme character for comic relief
Because the LGBT community wants LGBT representation so bad they will call anything a work of art.
and I’d still go on a thousand adventures with Flynn rather than do another repeat of Val’Sharah.
Except Talia didnt seems to care about him in a romantic way. Also, bi people do exist.
And next is a quest line…
Flynn where are you I need you.
In all of our adventures ,hijinx and capers together, Flynn didnt ever once hit on me… whats wrong with me???
He’s only into rogues, they know how to do it from behind.
This joke makes so much more sense now days.
The last time a NPC did something vaguely flirting like with the player people didn’t take it very well.
Shaw and Flynn are honestly not that interesting as a couple.
They work well because people liked Flynn’s personality already.
I don’t want romance in general, but a charming personality can do wonders.
Well it’s a bit of a issue. You can’t respond in the way you would so it’s wrong. I personally don’t want NPCs flirting on me because if they don’t fit my preferences I’d find it mildly offensive. Which I’m sure those of opposing preferences would find offensive as well. Simply due to the fact they have no choice.
I’m not even going there!
Yeah I wouldn’t of either… But they chose the rogue trainer. It’s hard not to think about the old rogue jokes.
Do… they actually have any development in game?
To be fair, if they were Horde they wouldn’t be that interesting. But, they’re Alliance and the Alliance is incredibly boring, so by comparison they are pretty darn interesting.
I heard claims they mildly hint at it in game. But I don’t think there was anything provided that was substantial.
Pretty sure the most I can contribute is: All couples are spot on… love really is love. Creating camps, labels, divisions, etc. is the mark of shallow thinks.
My evidence is:
All of us live on the planet, together.
Love is much less expensive than fighting.
Love feels good, fighting does not.
Humans do better in nurturing environments.
As a bear, I challenge you to either enjoy my love or my fight. Find out for yourself which feels better
To me this isn’t a thing until it can be noticed in game. As far as I know (having read zero wow fiction) Flynn likes Talia and Shaw is James Bond. Is it really so progressive if they’re pretty much closeted in the game itself?
Someone obviously has not heard of fight clubs. Or boxing.
If they were Horde they would be turned into bad guys and killed off in a dungeon.
