Yup! Google “wow dungeons are hard ghostcrawler” and you can see just how much of a shock it was to everyone, devs included.
Just add higher iLevel drops and catchup currency. Those were actually good ideas.
Uptunes are unnecessary.
Original 4.0 dungeons will hit even Classic players like a freight train. (Why is SOD so popular? Intense difficulty? No? Maybe people are after something else.)
4.1 Zandalari dungeons are just as challenging. If 4.0 dungeons aren’t nerfed like in 2011…they won’t feel like old content.
4.3 Twilight dungeons, like FoS and PoS, were intended as accessible catchup. They were also total surrender by Blizzard in their whole “BC 5-mans were awesome” theory. By that point, unnerfed 4.0 and 4.1 will be equivalent difficulty.
Question is: do you want playees grinding like crazy or logging off in disgust and unsubbing?
This is a business IQ test for Greenfield and Longdale, which I’m not sure they’ll pass. Maybe Microsoft can remedy the situation.
