Im more saying AT the event. Few are going to see that mobile trailer the first time at Blizzcon and quietly take a step back and consider a blog post from a week prior. Reiteration that there were other projects in the works, even an acknowledgement that more Diablo projects were among them, would have done much to lessen the bad PR impact.
You cant avoid mob reaction, you can factor it into how you prepare and deal with it. They announced the mobile game then stood there during the backlash, for which I really do feel bad for the people on stage at that point, they should not have had to deal with all that.
Am I the overwhelming minority on this forum or the majority of players who are actually playing the game?
I did not “literally” tell everyone who disagrees with me…okay I did. It’s true though - if you’re here and complain and don’t like WoW, you’re not an RPGer (I did write RPFer…but it’s supposed to be RPGer) - you would be happier in some other genre.
WoW is still developed on the essence of RPGs - the leveling, getting better gear, questing, stories, grinding for stuffs, kill the monsters, collect all the crud, trying to defeat the RNG boss, bask in this huge fantastic world.
The basics are still in place and that’s what gamers like me enjoy about WoW. All the crap people complain about are temporary. Those hand-wringing dramatic complaints all disappear from this forum when a patch or hotfix happens. That’s what 13 years of foruming taught me.
Seriously, I think you may need to take a second and breathe. There is no need for all the toxicity you are unleashing.
As I always remember from my childhood “if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything”.
Constructive criticism is encouraged, however what you are posting is just hate filled bile. Take a moment, cool down, construct your thoughts constructively, and then re-join the conservation.
We’re all willing to hear what you have to say, as long as you say it respectfully.
They read the posts, they play the game, they engage with the content. Each of these people you mentioned a players in their own right, just like you they have their own opinions of the game and how the game should play. It is ignorant to claim that they are ignorant of the situation.
They are most likely more knowledgeable of the situation than all of us, given their particular position on both sides of the fence.
As to posting this thread? It’s their job!
It doesn’t matter how many more pressing issues Ythisens believes should be dealt with they can’t exactly turn around and say “sorry, I refuse to post this thread until you address the issue with pathfinder and flying” or similar.
From someone who doesn’t seem to grasp the concept of communication well I think you have no leg to stand on when discussing the skills of someone else’s communication.
It’s called Dunning-Kruger if you care to look it up.
Sometimes in diplomacy no communication is better than any communication, and sometimes trivial communication is better than communicating on sensitive subjects.
You are completely delusional. Not interacting with you any further, it would be much more productive to talk at the wall.
My original post in this thread is nearing 100 likes. So far you’re in the 1% minority of the people who cared enough to voice their opinion. Yet you think everyone is wrong.
I think there’s institutions out there for people who have issues such as yours.
Let me get this straight. Blizzard wants me to vote for them after they’ve been on nothing short of a killing spree removing features/making changes that go against everything that made this game great?
I’m more amazed blizzard still has people to defend them. Ion THIER BOSS has said they need to communicate better. Yet they make no attempt to even attempt discussing issues like the god awful azerite system. Or horrid class balance. The blues stick to useless fluff threads. They can post in those but not about real issues? Sorry I’m not buying that tripe any longer.
I mean, you came right out of the gate and insulted me, and are now weighing your validity with GD likes. I don’t think the insults either way are appropriate, but calling me naive for sharing how I see things and how I’m glad some issues are being addressed is kinda hypocritical, and you continue to toss insults around too.
Is this your “nearing 100” Likes post? This recalcitrant fractious post?
So if this is how you feel about this game, why are you here at all? Is it some self-indulgent mental issue of yours - since you don’t like it, nobody else should?
to be fair and honest you don’t deserve any thropies. The quality of content on BFA has decreased to a point where I’m staring my login screen and log out.
It’s unfortunate that 8.1 is releasing on christmas/new years month because the new raid wont be here for another month which also means more of the same.
Based on wow’s current state you would need to bribe me a hell of a lot more than nothing at all to go through that trouble and cast a vote I don’t agree with.
Not going to “vote” for anything but I can only imagine the lineup of games in the mmorpg genre. It has to be close to abysmal so I have hard time seeing wow not “winning”, people who vote probably aren’t even playing wow but they might have fond memories.
