Gamer dad needs that RDF

blizzard: “we are releasing wrath in our classic game style”

you: “no you arent”

wrath is classic lol. thats what they are making.
wrath isnt vanilla is the point i think you are trying to make.

yeah… neither is wow classic.

For me Classic is only vanilla, they can come up with whatever they want, Cata classic, WoD classic, for it me it will always be vanilla.

You must like playing Halo on easy with no skulls activated. Were you the kid that used a gameshark to make yourself invincible? There is 0 challenge or risk in retail wow before end game. It is easier than playing those lego star wars games made for babies. You can’t over pull, you don’t need a tank or a healer. Every enemy might as well be a non elite. It’s like doing regular questing with a 5 man group. It is so unbelievably boring.

The classic game style that includes store bought mounts and instant level 70 boosts for real life dollars?

Calling you out for claiming you can leave as a tank and have under a minute and the group is filled again. Not at all the way it works when you are the tank.

at least Lego Star Wars (and other franchises) games are fun
I’m not even a Star Wars fan and I enjoy them.

Retail on the other hand?
-“Forced” (strongly coerced) world content - You know, like the badges from Loremaster in wrath.
-Systems that get 2 years of development before being thrown into the garbage. You know, similar to the “improved group finder” they are spending time creating.
-Mythic+ being required for raiding, and vis. versa. And also required for PvP until recently. Gotta love dungeons “remaining relevant and a challenge throughout the expansion” (Gee, where have I heard that before… #WrathChanges #NotWrath)
-Itemization becoming “consistent throughout various phases/tiers” (haste/mastery S1 boots, H/M S2 boots, etc.) WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT BEFORE?
-Level boosts… hmm? When did they add this into Wrath? I don’t remember this.
“Go play retail, leave us to our Wrath version of retail! Dungeon finders in retail, so it’s clearly the same as the Wrath of the Lich King experience you were looking for!”

That’s not evidence that more people want it.

That’s only evidence that a lot of people are complaining about not having it. People that don’t want it got what they want so there’s nothing to complain about.

People tend to complain WAY more than they praise. That’s just human nature.

Its also an appeal to consensus fallacy.

Which means the point is negated. Means nothing.

Yep. Exactly what we’ve been saying all along, and now they are finally saying the quiet parts out loud.

idk why that matters? End game is what we play, and for the most part always has been. Perhaps you enjoy leveling new toon after new toon infinitely, and if so then perhaps you’re looking for a “challenge” in the leveling stages.

From what I’ve played on TBC Classic, the challenge in leveling is mostly overcoming boredom, because it’s just slow. In any case, if you don’t like Retail, that’s your prerogative; but it does solve all the issues you claim to have with Classic, so you can figure things out for yourself.

wrath classic isn’t classic, bro
:expressionless:

They can name it whatever, at this point classic for them is just a nomenclature that signifies that it’s old.

And lets be honest the people who will play wrath are just bored retail players, I can’t think otherwise, with the constant outcry for convenience, RFD, one faction mega servers and GDKP culture. Blizzard should just give what they want and make other version of classic for people who crave oldschool mmos.

IT

If youre a tank then you probably arent getting replaced in under a minute. Sounds like you just want to be selfish and not have to deal with the repercussions against your reputation.

If you guys and girls cant play without RDF then just save yourself the trouble and do something else with your time.

Yes you do. What are you talking about? I have tanked, healed, and DPSed RDFs for over a decade now. It doesn’t matter who leaves you get a priority queue and you get a new tank/healer/DPS whoever in usually under a minute while you port out of the dungeon and do quests in that one minute. RDF is a million times more efficient and convenient than no RDF.

Your reputation while leveling at level 20 means nothing to anyone RDF or no. Servers have 30k people on them. People just want to get dungeons done quickly they don’t care who you are or what your favorite color is. It isn’t vanilla classic anymore. There are way too many people at such a wide range of levels. No one cares about what you do leveling up during a level 20 dungeon. Go scream in LFG chat about how your level 20 tank Ninjad loot or left the dungeon early in your WC run see what kind of response you get.

I don’t usually scream “troll” when someone disagrees with me like all the pro rdf babies, but…

everything you post is exactly why theyre getting rid of rdf. I legitimately find it hard to believe you are being serious.

You don’t want to play retail because it’s so easy and streamlined but you want classic to follow the same trajectory that made it so? I am in disbelief.

Yes. We should all start at max level with the best gear in the game and all of the achievements cause otherwise our time might be wasted playing video games, which are not at all a literal waste of time.

I’d be okay with RDF if they included punishments each time you leave early that prevented you from using it for 30 minutes, then 2 hours, then 6 hours, and so on up to like a week if you leave dungeons repeatedly only going back down a tier for each week you don’t screw other players.

It can be both, and being that I also do not want RDF, the use of “we” is accurate…
