The population of the game has aged. It was highschool kids and college kids now its the same audience 15 years later. Same reason REO speed wagon ends their show by 8:30. Grandpa needs his rest.

Perhaps. And perhaps catering to old folks is why most people prefer Retail, but these are the Classic forums.
If your group is already formed you get put into a priority queue. You definitely get a tank way sooner than if you tried to just queue from scratch.
10 minutes is faster than 20 minutes…
But it’s still a lot of unnecessary idling…

Play retail? It is a terrible game. Have you tried playing it? It’s basically impossible to wipe in any dungeon that isn’t mythic +. The game is waaaay too easy. You can just queue for a dungeon be level 10 and do top dps spamming 2 keys mindlessly pulling everything in sight. It’s hardly even a game unless you’re max level.

Without RDF, players run back to PRIVATE SERVERS THAT HAVE RDF.
On a similar vein:
Without BC Forever servers, players will run back to PRIVATE SERVERS.
It’s sadly that simple.

it’s cute that people are now openly admitting that RDF leads to anti-social behavior. oh, I can just leave at any time because the magic RDF machine will replace me with someone else (who may or may not enjoy the fact that he’s joining a half-done dungeon).

you people need to remember that classic was never meant to be a mainstream product. that’s what retail is for. classic is and always has been niche.

Blizzard removes a system that was added back in Wrath and replaces it with a system from Retail and the trolls respond, ‘If you want dungeon finder, go play Retail!’
You literally cannot make that stuff up.
And also, here’s a 70 boost. And same-faction bgs. And wintergrasp as a cross-realm 40v40bg. And Mythic+. And megaservers and endless layers. That’s all perfectly fine. But you want a system from Wrath? Then go play Retail!!
I now just flag those troll posts for what they are. And I hope everyone does the same.

You don’t know me, I dont give a S about wrath not even gonna play it. I just think that spamming 40min for a tank is massively overrated and a huge waste of time.

Yes. From what you’re saying, I wonder why you don’t play it. Perhaps give it a shot, as it definitely offers what you’re looking for.
And I don’t mean that because “ReTaiL sUcKs!~” it’s actually a great game that solves the issues that people who are busy have. You can log in, play whichever style of play you prefer (solo questing, battlegrounds, heroics [random dungeon finder], raiding, whatever you old guys like, and within your time limits). It has reasonable mechanics, difficulty levels for everyone, and you can manage your time.
And yet, it is better than TBC Classic in almost every conceivable way. For one, it solves literally every problem that anyone has ever complained about about TBC Classic on these forums.
