Game is dying

The one big win with this patch cadence is we got a season before 8 months (shadowlands twice). But yeah the mini patches feel like stuff that would have 100 percent been in the main patches in years prior. We just got tricked basically.

Settle down Humanbeak who’s posting on an alt named Edamann.

Looks like it’s once again time to get out those bingo boards and kegs for everyones favorite drinking game, Drunken Bingo GD edition. Remember each to take a shot each time you fill in a square. Extra everclear is over there.

Well we got solo shuffle? Otherwise when was the last time there ever was any new PVP content?

What I miss about the last 3 expansions was there was a reason, a dumb reason, but a reason to log in, to farm player power. Take that away and once people have their KSM/AOTC and other stuff done, there is really no good reason for most people to log in anymore.

I’ve been spending the last 2-3 months just doing alt stuff, finally got my Tusks, ticked off all the missing mounts I can be bothered, but even mount farming stuff, there are never any groups listed for older raids like SOD and Ny’alotha that cannot yet be done solo and when you list your own groups they never get filled, or even close to enough people to even attempt to run those raids.

That’s never been the case in the past because people have been logging in, albeit jus to farm player power, but they have always been logging in so you could find people to help much easier.

WoW is just boring as hell. Everything is a recycled version of something else, except dragon-riding, of which they add very little to including semi-yearly races lol.

They are stringing people along to the point I’ve stopped engaging. The queues for casual PvP are too long, and ranked is a ghost town.

PvP died in Shadowlands, basically.

So I’ve already been playing a ‘dead game’ in my sphere, since last expansion.

I’m pretty much only on Hardcore now, for that MMO feeling.

Hello, I see you replied to my post. Haha, I don’t know what a Humanbeak is!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

Blackrock Depths disagrees.

Classic people aren’t Vanilla people, sadly. And we were getting BRD back with Torghast but the spreadsheeters wouldn’t let it happen.

You think people ran Black Rock Depths without taking the optimal direct routes to get to where they wanted to go? Even back then, there were guides that laid it all out for you.

I was there. Few if any knew exactly where to go. And we all needed soemthing from different bosses.

I’ve been playing Classic and… I hate to admit this…

I’ve been going outside for walks. :sob:

Not directly by they may have a side effect that lowers the rate at which people try to create groups. If you log into the “lobby” (I.e. Valdrakken center) and it is empty, you might just log out again instead of trying for a group.

I know the pvp community is just grasping at straws now. You can’t even get full epic battleground numbers anymore. Was playing around noon and the horde had like 20 players compared to the alliance 31. I never seen a Epic battleground never get full. Dungeon ques taking over 10+ mins to get into, battlegrounds taking 10+ mins to get into. But I hop into wotlk classic and i get 1-2 min ques for dungeons and 3 min ques for battlegrounds.

I see more people in wotlk classic in orgrimmar (Mankrik) than I see in valdrakken / Org / Stormwind for Moonguard and Area 52. Trade chat is more alive on mankrik than it is on moonguard / area 52.

Professions, leveling, and end game all feel important and more vauable than retail end game. Retails professions what they did to level them past 50 is awful. Gear matters in classic compared to retail. Reputation grinding is easier / bearable than it is in dragonflight. WOTLK did so many more things right than dragonflight ever did, and the population shows.

I look forward to seeing how many less guilds complete the upcoming raid in retail compared to previous raid tiers.

Huh, then there must be ghosts in the system. very spooky

Maybe cause they’re not allowed to post there? Open the trade (services) channel. It’s full of them.

Beside, game has been dying since 2004.

I was there too, and I remember having runs where we would get so far down and then… hightail it over the edge of a cliff and jump down past 90% of the dungeon in most runs.

True that people needed this or that from different bosses, but the runs we done were done for specific bosses only, very rarely did we ever go in with no plan and just run to each and every boss we all needed, it was mostly planned out and if you needed a different boss, you would make a different run.

Oh no, they are not allowed to post WTS runs in LFG, whatever shall they do…

Never stopped them before, still some WTS runs listed in the raid channel.

There have always been WTS run listed under the dungeon queue in LFG, that will never change, I think it’s telling that because there are none that it’s not because they are not allowed, they have never been allowed, but more that they are getting no traffic through those sites that any time spent advertising is a waste of time simply because there are not enough people playing.

It’s an old game. If there is one thing to say about WOW it is that it’s hung on for so long while so many other games never even got off the ground.

As for why it’s quiet now, we are near the end of a release. Things should pick up when 10.2 comes out.

Kinda hilarious to see this overused tripe used to try to dismiss legitimate complaints. Oh well.

They promised faster content releases and so far what we’ve received has been very disappointing.

IF there is overuse tripe, it’s the constant bellowing and moaning in the forums about how the game is dying that’s been going on since 2004.

That’s not constructive criticism.
