Same matchmaker as Overwatch then. It’s not about a fair match, it’s about dopamine and user-metrics
my favorite type of threads honestly
Two weeks? You’ve been hit for the same infraction before.
It’s always the same people saying the system is fine too. I think we know some of the people who enjoy abusing it based solely on how they speak of it here.
There is more here than the OP is posting.
All I can say is maybe stop being toxic.
Using it is not abusing it.
No, the lesson to be learned is never, ever be a tool in game, EVER
I think the point is that it CAN be abused, because Blizz has admitted to not even policing the system. It is based on number of reports, not validity of reports. That alone means that someone can be punished for nothing, or for simply upsetting others.
If you want to see how Blizz customer service currently operates, just open a ticket for any legitimate issue, and see how quickly you’re met with a canned response and a link to the general troubleshooting page. This is about as auto-pilot as it can get, and the report system falls in line with that level of effort.
Don’t bring TooL into this, they are a great band!
The most people can do in terms of abuse is get someone squelched. Which is a temporary silence. They can still play the game. The reports will get manually assessed by someone at blizzard and if it they decide there was no offence, the chat privileges get restored. If they decide there was an offence then they will be given whatever punishment is deemed appropriate. And that is based on things like what they actually said that got them reported, and any history they have of other offences they have.
When a player gets suspended from WoW for over 2 weeks that’s because what they have done in the past which can add up. Alot of players don’t know this .
Who are you? Lol
My advice is go play something else for next 2 weeks support ticket will say it’s final cause you must used slurs and stuff even saying things calling people out and such which is not allowed in any of blizzard game
I have played since Dec of 2004…When Dragon Flight was introduced it is was no longer World of Warcraft anymore I have The War-Within installed but have to force my self to fire up; the PC for this game. I’m not gonna tell you how many countless hours I have spent playing for over 20 years. Neither Achievements PVP matches I have been a part of.
What would be the use ?? WOW doesn’t exist anymore… I’m hanging on like some tag along looking for the game I use to play. This is a sad day~
World of Tanks and many other games (including this one) use an automated match maker system that stacks teams in such a way as to try and keep everyone near 50% win rate.
There was a big fuss raised about it years ago when they first added it to WoT, good players don’t like being kneecapped by being forced to play with “bad” players.
But “bad” players pay too and if they always lose, they quit, so the match maker system was implemented and here we are.
When i first started playing WoW back in 2005, the Alliance players were so toxic that i join the Horde and i never complain to Blizzard about it. The Horde back then were never toxic and we help each other out , especially when it came to pvp. We were all brother and sister of the Horde. Pride was very important to all of us Horde players . Why does faction matter ? The Horde and the Alliance players think differently. Horde players come to win, not to complain. It doesn’t matter if player was gay , they are always welcome to the Horde.
i guess the lot of you didn’t read that second part. yes i said more than just “i bet we lose” as i stated i proceeded to complain about my losing streak… since all you people must know other things i said, i said things like “just watch”, “blizz picks me to be in preplanned losing bgs”, “dont say i didnt tell ya ahead of time” and things like that… sure i was being a debby downer but nothing i said was anywhere close to worthy of a 2 week ban from game play… even a 1 day silence from chat would have been too harsh… 2 weeks from game play altogether is an absolute joke.
and for transparency, no it was not my first ban. a cpl months ago i was banned for 1 week for saying “yall suck” at the end of a losing rbg… no chat silence, but a 1 week game ban for first offense. which i didnt think saying things like “yall suck” or “i bet we lose” were even offenses in the first place.
over the previous 15 years i played wow before returning i had a total of 2 bans. and i deserved them. i said things i shouldnt have said. now returning after 5 years i have already been banned twice in 4 months for such heinous comments as “yall suck” and “i bet we lose”.
the report system absolutely is being abused… i dont know what the magic number is, but if you annoy that amount of ppl in your rbg and they report you, you are toast… for example i was in an rbg the other day where our flag carrier missed a cap and cost us the game… then everybody suddenly starts yelling “REPORT FOR SABOTAGE”, “REPORTED”, “REPORT HIM, LET’S ICE THIS KID”, “HE’LL BE BANNED IF ENOUGH REPORT HIM”… so im sure he’s banned too now. and for what? bc he missed a cap? GAME IS A JOKE!
kind of sounds like nobody wants to deal with your toxicity. either treat other people decently or find a new game. not sure what else to tell you.
edit: also it’s honestly shocking that you don’t seem to have grown or changed as a person in 15 years.
We already know from blues explaining how the system works that you did a lot more than you are saying to get a two week suspension, not a ban (because a ban is permanent). But more important,
Sounds like you don’t like the game anyway because you aren’t any good. So, two weeks seems like a good time frame to find a game you like and can actually handle.
