pvp matchmaking is an absolute joke and constantly throws me into preplanned losing rated matches with people who dont even understand how the battlegrounds work.
constant losing streaks get old and frustrating when you are one of only 2 or 3 ppl max who understand how the battleground works.

anyways, the point of my rant is that upon entering a bg yesterday i said “i bet we lose” and started complaining about my recent losing streak. apparently my teammates didnt like my doom and gloom attitude and reported me and now im banned from playing for 2 weeks??

hahaha what a joke! i just came back to wow a few months ago after 5 years away and i think im already done again. the expansion isnt any good, there’s maintenance almost every day, and getting a 2 week ban for saying “i bet we lose” then complaining about a losing streak is just… well it’s a JOKE!

I’d wager you did something weeks ago and you are just catching the ban now.

You normally get silenced for being mouthy as opposed to a ban.

I don’t think your " I bet we lose" meltdown was the reason.

Toxicity is not allowed or tolerated you can get temp suspended due to social contract we agreed and signed long ago

For sure, I got banned for three hours once and I said some CRAZY stuff.

I know I get rowdy on the forums from time to time, but what I said was insane. I am surprised the police weren’t called or something. Then again, I was only quoting a movie.

OP for sure said some heinous things to get two weeks

It’s still crazy to me that they implemented a report system that literally encourages you to report everyone that offends you. I’ve played for many, many years, and the ‘ignore’ system has worked just fine. Now we’ve got the Overwatch mentality, and your safest bet is to literally not communicate at all in a game where communication is paramount.

I don’t think people realize how absolutely toxic the rated bg community is. Joined a rated bg and we were sitting in premade group finder for 30 minutes trying to find another healer besides me.

In discord the raid lead was very badly singing baby shark, which made me want to leave first. But then comes the homophobic F slurs, which is VERY common in discords I join.

I just left, whispered him that maybe he shouldn’t be throwing around homophobic slurs when he can’t find a healer, considering so many healer mains are gay.

I bet you this man thought he did nothing wrong too. Just a shame I couldn’t report him in game since it was said over discord.

I’m done with pre-made rated. It’s solo from now on for me.

I have never been muted or banned and I’ve never been toxic or harassed someone. Wild theory but do you think those two things might be connected?

They don’t give exact transcripts.

But frequently people will post that they were banned for “nothing” and a rep will come in and say “well actually it was probably where you went on a crazy slur-ridden rant in Trade chat last week”.
