I don’t think the green ground mech is all that rare tbh. The green flying mount from the garbage rare on the other hand is much rarer and much more annoying to farm. Hence why so many people are a bit butthurt about it. Can’t blame em really. If the scrap piles become impossible to cap out once everybody has stopped doing them, then the mount basically becomes impossible to get.
Renown lvls increase SPEEd and cans so once your maxed renowon solo will be cake
Yes, I noticed there are some renown gated buffs to doing the event. I don’t think any of us know just exactly how much of a difference they make though or whether they will be sufficient to solo the scrap events. We shall see.

The ED seed events are actually far worse imo. They were fine at the start, but then blizz in their infinite wisdom, massively nerfed the droplet drop rates from all sources in the ED. The net result of which was that it became next to impossible to fully cap out a seed event solo since you were perpetually starved of droplet currency.
It wasn’t so bad when the ED was current content. But God help the poor buggers who try to do them now.

It was documented everywhere the mount didn’t drop until 5.2. Every mount community at the time documented the same. I’m sure one random person 12 years ago saw multiple drop, though.
