Ironically, the higher key Mythic players are super nice and chill. It’s those wannabes that are toxic. The ones who think mythic 0 is super elite and refuse to give the slightest help to anyone.

What really helped me is using the Details addon while I practiced my rotation on a Training Dummy. Running the Quick Sim on the Raidbots website also provides you with a sample ability log at the bottom that suggests a rotation for you. It helped me understand my mistakes in my rotation.
Don’t give up. I applied to raids until I was accepted, and used raid logs and Details to help me track my progress.
players that refuse to use the help given to them and refuse to help themselves are a lost cause.
personal responsibility is not in this type of players vocabulary.

Telling someone to go on google is not helping them. Get over yourself.

Would you be more open to telling them to read a book? google is our greatest resource and is usually much more thorough than I can be in game. the sooner you accept the fact that google will be a better learning tool than you can be the better.

You can keep editing this response but you will still not get it right. You’re playing with other human beings. If you don’t know how to react in society, YOU should stick to follower dungeons.

This. If my group ever wipes, I make sure to take a quick moment to gently remind everyone of what needs to be done. Sometimes I realize I should put down markers or use pings to help out. It takes literal seconds and usually improves the encounters immensely.

Right now all I’ve learned is to just outsource the problem to literally anyone else lol.
It happened only 3 weeks ago but I’m still pretty scarred by it. I actually ended up 988’ing because of what I did.
Therapy appointment in a week though, something I definitely plan to share, hoping I can get some help there. In the meantime though the more I think about it the more I should probably call off the guild search. Doubt there’s any guild out there that wants the mental baggage I’m carrying.

I was a heroic raider up until the end of WoD. I never allowed anyone to be toxic to anyone. We always helped each other. We did test pulls. We could spent the night on a boss to make sure we advanced together. We treated pugs that way too. Higher level players are the nicest people I’ve met.

the op refuses to participate in the “society” that is wow, to learn and improve on their own with guides. but expects everyone else in the wow “society” to cater to them.
so yeah they should stick to follower dungeons like you suggest, because they cant seem to fit in with wow pug societal norms.

That is fairly recent and you definitely need time to heal, but don’t let a single mistake define you. If want I’d like to offer you a place in my guild it was just me and a few friends now it’s just me and alts. I can’t promise anything glamorous at the moment but if you’re up for some transmog runs I could use a partner.

Thanks for the offer. Heads up, this is actually just a posting character. My main is currently a 69 warlock locked in Chromie Time. Just enjoying some older content by myself at the moment, getting some things done before I take the plunge into TWW. I figured warlock would be a more solo friendly class hehe.

Ah yeah thanks. I’ve been considering doing some TW but haven’t quite built the courage yet. Not even sure if I’d be a detriment as a 69 or not. I get nervous enough right now just doing Direbrew.
