You mention in some type of way each time you post that “no i won’t help you” or
what do you want us to say? obviously, this guy doesn’t need any “help” wandering through mostly linear dungeons. Should I as a random in his group teach him everything? what about the things I don’t know? yet you’ll sit here and berate another for offering a way to find external resources without coming up with any solutions of your own. don’t take a moral high ground and expect others to teach when you won’t even engage in a conversation beneficial to the poster who is trying to learn. You so far are the least helpful person here by making him waste his time reading your sorry excuse of a response.
The fact that you don’t even know how your attitude comes off proves how mythic plus players are driving people away from the content. They treat people like robots for a means to their end. It’s like you have no idea how to actually treat human beings. Nobody is saying carry others, but acting like there’s no learning process is a joke. So you do the opposite of cultivate a community, you drive community away.
I genuinely from the bottom of my heart do not care what a bunch of cry-babies on the forum are saying about me or my attitude, y’all expect to be carried and expect EVERYONE to be patient with you because you’re learning the dungeons still. That’s unreasonable, these people don’t know you or owe you anything.
Lot of us have been trying. There are a lot of bad guilds in this game, and many of the good ones have their doors closed. It’s not easy to find a good group.
I play M+ and I do not treat people that way. I would rather brick my own key than see one member abuse another, and I have. I’m not so bad at the game that I’m worried I won’t be able to reach that key level again.
You only really hear about the toxic M+ groups, and that’s a perception problem. You never hear about the M+ groups that were decent or good, because those aren’t worth posting about it. No one goes on the forums to post about their completely fine and average M+ experience where no one abused anyone. The majority of my M+ runs have been merely decent to good.
I would suggest using either raiderio, or community discord. Working on your in game achievements i.e parsing, aotc, etc. before making an actual effort (depending on what type of guild you want to join). Finding a guild in game is extremely challenging for a number of reasons.
i read your post up until i read that, and realized ‘oh. this is gonna be one of those threads.’
i uh… i get the feeling your not gonna like hearing this, but… i’m just gonna point-out you said the magic words that make people think you need a thicker-skin.
that’s all i got. no intention to argue, just pointing out the bad choice of words.
Exactly. You dont care. I think we’ve gathered that. People learning is inreasonable? Lol, you were perfect from the start? Your first m+ was flawless? Lol. I bet it wasn’t. For every player rebuked for making a small mistake, you hurt the community more ad more. Even raiders have more patients with this, and understnad people learn on the go.
Listen, be an internet tough guy in the game. I dont care, but don’t go around and complain when people dont want to do the conent with you then.
I rarely come across toxicity and when I do its usually the worst performer in the group doing so. Perception of M+ vs the reality is probably the worst part of the whole system. If you look for toxicity its all youll find.
This type of mentality is likely the reason you dont fit in with a guild. They’re EXAMPLES. I’m using them to help you understand that when a group of 20ish people come together, they want to not waste their time. You do NOT need aotc to join a raiding guild BUT, it would certainly make it easier. having 2-3 boss parses that aren’t gray would also help you. What are you trying to accomplish with this statement?
I’m not their father, friend or guildie… they aren’t entitled to my time, my teachings and whatever else they think they deserve. I doubt my first M+ was pretty, but it was also done with friends… so I didn’t push my trashiness at the time onto others I didn’t know.
Internet tough guy? Lol. Cope all you want bud.
Report me if it makes you feel better, won’t change anything.
Again, you follow the rules of every single EULA? So you aren’t a man of your word either… that’s your logic.
It was just a simple question. I’ve never been a great player. Trying to figure out things like parsing and weakauras has always been a challenge, and I haven’t tried to pug anything since Legion because of how scary the community is. All I’ve been looking for is a warm and friendly guild that would take me to content despite not being great and occasionally making mistakes. Don’t think that’s a lot to ask.
