so you refuse to ignore someone if they are saying u took a wrong route in a dungeon, you refuse to improve how you play, refuse to take advice on how to improve. yea, makes total sense.
Then they went to the forums and made a post about how they can never find a tank for their group . . .
You know, rather than simply being polite and discussing a valid route.
This is why I’ll stick with delves.
Amen to that, brother.
If he’s already in the dungeon telling him to go to Youtube isn’t going to help the dungeon out.
Maybe it’s good advice for later dungeons, but not in the moment.
Randoms helping other randoms out means we have a net positive of more learned players playing the game, which means fewer failed keys.
This is a team game. That often means helping others out where they might not yet be comfortable.
Precious time teaching?
Like seriously, all they’d have to do is be like “hey, pull that group next” and maybe use the ping system.
It’s not like anyone has to give a 4 hour lecture on the appropriate routes to take.
And it’s an M0, nothing is timed.
Problem is, such things had been learned to a point where it is ingrained into their minds. The dungeon go go mentality fed by M+ timers is too ingrained even in untimed content, where not doing the route is insulting to some people. At least, that is what I see in these types of threads.
Dare I ask where this double standard comes from?
Its not a job, however its okay to treat 4 other people like your personal trainers because you chose to jump into harder content with no clue?
Its not toxic to expect someone to have knowledge or tell them to read or watch guides.
Imo its toxic to have this entitled behavior and mindset that your time is more important than 4 other players that just want to do the content without having to baby someone.
If you are learning. Make your own group. Set it as “I am learning” or when you join, let them know you are learning.
And if you communicate, people are more willing to help vs messing up and people getting mad THEN you tell them you are learning.
the op thinks their time is precious but no one else time is. that is what i was referring to. you would have known that if you bothered to read anything.
did the op enter the dungeon and from the very start say hey guys i have no idea what im doing or where to go please guide me? no.
did the op try to create pug groups and name it “learning group”? no.
did the op take the advice of the “toxic” pug in his group and go and watch videos and guides so the op could improve? no they didnt because
so you refuse to learn
refuse to take advice on how to learn
refuse to seek out information to help you learn
but expect random players to spend THEIR time on you because only your time matters?
what are we even talking about here?
get real
how hard is it just to ping the next damn mob? lmao u guys are ridiculous
this is why the rest of us are doing delves away from this nonsense LOL
I respectfully disagree. It’s M0. The OP doesn’t sound like he was being a douche about it; he’s just new to this season’s M+.Pathing isn’t that important in M0 because there’s no timer. The reaction the OP received was completely out of line.
He can watch vids until the cows come home, but it’s different when you’re actually playing.
And we wonder why WoW doesn’t attract new players and there’s a shortage of tanks
This is a video game—no one’s life is on the line because the tank took a different route in M0.
My god, the level of entitlement from the people practically pissing salt over just taking TWO SECONDS TO CLARIFY SOMETHING.
so your expectation is that other people should cater to you and your expectations correct?
why then do you not cater to their expectations of you?
please make it make sense.
as a tank you can easily practice tank pathing in follower dungeons. thats what its there for.
has nothing to do with but ok lets go there, tanks have been nerfed and healers too, and delves are more rewarding so obviously no one even needs to do 0’s or low mythics. that is more a cause of the “shortage” then anything else. and tanks have always been in higher demand. nothings really changed.
who said it was? we are addressing the op’s issues of having very little time to play which isn’t our problem. nor is it our problem that they refuse to take time to improve rather then trying to place that responsibility on random people.
if it was that bad they can vote kick and if the group agrees they will get a new healer. but im gonna guess they wouldnt agree, cause its pugs.
You’re a bit of a shut-in, aren’t you?
That is not out prerogative or concern, nor is it relevant. You could have all those things and still be a mythic raiding level player. You could also be a basement-dwelling NEET and still be absolutely dish water at the game. Either play better or get thicker skin.
God i miss the days of people yelling profanities at each other over the nascent internet and not having every little basketcase come crying and whining to the rest about their feelings, because, ultimately, no cares and you need to get over it.
^ Case in point. ^
Take your own advice, mate.
I could. But I don’t want to spend hours on this game and take that time away from my family. Once my obligations to IRL are complete and the child is in bed, I choose to spend my limited free time on WoW. I’ve hardcore raided before. You cant do mythic raiding with just 1.5 hours a day. Its impossible. lol. I’ve accepted that I wont be raiding anymore. But I will pug some mythic 0’s for fun.
But I will pug some mythic 0’s for fun.
Best of luck. Honestly, I suggest putting up groups for Dawnbreaker. Just to make a point.
Already did. Aren’t you late for an ERP at lion’s pride? MG degenerate.
