Yea that is true. Hence why I usually avoid mythic + at higher levels, heck even lower levels now.
It also makes it so people get’s the mind-set that they don’t have the time to teach.
There is also the fear of down-graded keys due to failiure.
There can be a pyshcological study that can be done on these types of games I bet.
At least with raids, if you fail, you don’t need to worry more then a wipe, you can coach people that fail mechanics or plan around people’s weaknesses.

sounds like the fix is just for one other party member to be the first one running along the path. doesn’t really seem like taking up anyone’s time, certainly not more so than berating a player in chat

Now people wonder why tanks or healers just don’t want to do pugs or even group content in general. Being rude and disrespectful doesn’t help anyone.
Yes there are guides and videos but not everyone learns that way and some learn via experience.
At the same time if someone points out that this path is better then take that path because more than likely they are giving the optimal path to take and are trying to teach you and especially if that person is being respectful about it and is just trying to teach you.
If they are being completely disrespectful about it then just leave the group and find another or join a guild and run with guild mates.
Lastly there are add-ons that will also help with giving optimal paths as well so get those and use them to help you learn especially if doing content that is timed.
TLDR: Just do your best, learn from experience but also attempt to learn from those willing to teach and use add-ons or guides as a reference if your struggling. All else fails join a guild who will be willing to help you be a better player. Ignore the players who are disrespectful and also don’t argue with them either.
There are already many issues in the game, many by Blizzard but also many by the player base. Unfortunately while Blizzard can attempt to fix their issues, unfortunately only the player base can fix their own issues which most likely won’t happen so those that don’t want to deal with it will need to adapt.

Yeah, this happens in every thread like this. Folks who are part of why the community has a bad name come in and defend their brethren. It’s up in the air for me whether it’s worse to be toxic or to defend someone else being toxic.

and as already stated, you can look up guides for the correct path and practice that path in follower dungeons. op refuses to do so. would rather wait for randoms to someday teach them using up their time. makes total sense.

When people start throwing out things like value other people’s time when they’re playing a virtual hamster wheel set in a world of magic elves and walking bull people, I can’t help but laugh. No one who plays this game values their time. The internet has really done a job on this culture.
