Anyone’s transfers taking like 8 hours? I initiated my transfers this morning and I’m still waiting…
Because it is only the full servers with constant and ‘extended’ queues.
You can pick a realm with a lower pop without it being “mediocre”. Medium Pop realms are still pretty full due to the new size limits they were able to install a while back.
Stormrage is not a server you can get a free transfer from +_+

Happy that Free Character Transfers are available for select realms now. I play on Area 52 and have seen some pretty extreme queues for logging in for the past week.
I’m not transferring as my guild is staying on Area 52 and I really like my guild. But I wish the best of luck to those that decide to transfer off of the server Area 52. 
On a side note: I’ve already noticed the queue has been getting a little shorter since the Free Character Transfers were opened up. Only waited roughly (1) hour to login tonight, Which is a lot better than the (3) hour queues I was getting in the evenings.
This is the reason Area 52 has a queue.

bahahah you can just roll what you just said right back at your self.
I am on A52, and on the fence on moving. A few reasons I might stay:
- Right now, KJ and BH would be my first choice, but from what I read KJ at the least dies off mid-end of expansion. I moved off Argent to get away from quiet.
- The gotcha of having to actually log on to the realm to initiate a transfer. Once I make it through the queue, I can then start the transfer, but not play again for a period of time. I really wish I could fire it off from any realm.
That said, right now I am just leveling my alliance character on Stormrage. I don’t even know what server I’d move to.
I’ve been on Area 52 since day one.
I haven’t played there in years.
I’m logging in right now to transfer OFF.
I’m not part of the problem.

Yup, I was thinking the same thing. Waiting in queue, to ask to be removed from the queue…
Also, incase this would frustrate anyone, I just transferred to another server and it said that it would be an estimated 2 days and 13 hours before the transfer was processed. So if you wanna play today, tomorrow, or the next…don’t transfer yet.
I was going to transfer to get out of the que then pay to transfer back when que is lower but after reading this I am not going to transfer lol

There are likey a lot of people taking advantage of a free transfer, so there’s now going to be a line for that.
is dalaran one of the server that allow transfer?can’t see the option

i literally just paid $32 freaking dollars for this on friday. Are you going to refund me?

Maybe next time put in BOLD that its going to take roughly 3 days to perform this transfer and your character is UNPLAYABLE while xfering.

wait to early morning of hours where those “full” realms are showing Medium… Assuming thats what they meant by “full” because it changes constantly.
Create a ticket and ask. They usually try to help out.
My guess is any realm that doesn’t say “Full”
