Sounds more to me like you made a post thinking you had a super special idea and not only did everyone shoot you down but someone also proved how not special or unique your idea was. Then you got upset that someone called you out
People get upset over WoW forum posts? That is rich. I do find it funny though that someone cares so much about a topic in a sea of topics. I wonder if that is the same type of person that visits Reddit and complains about reposts. Seems like not responding would be the correct course of action if they weren’t interested or didn’t care.
Umm…that’s very, very wrong. Vanilla had close to 8 million when it ended. That’s +8 million in its very first iteration. The peak was like 12 million at late Wrath or early Cata. So it gained only 4 million from the end Vanilla to its peak. That’s obviously not a fair comparison since at some point you start to exhaust the potential playerbase, but it still means something. Vanilla was unequivocally, mathematically by far the largest growth of subs in the game’s history.
As far as comparisons to what subs are today? Your guess is as good as mine. I’d estimate 1.5-2 million tops. Probably right now it’s the lowest it’s ever been (at least since very early after launch).
Now that we’re fully off the rails, do you guys think i should do my weekly +10 tonight or just play more dark souls? I do need to get at least one m+ this week but on the other hand this is my first ever playthrough of the original Dark Souls (well its the remaster but still) and i just beat Artorias and I’m really pumped to explore Oolacile Township.
Maybe that’s retails mindset, to eventually move it back to Vanilla-like quality of life. But they’d take most of their retail playerbase away… because, frankly, they love their “QoL”.
But.
Their “QoL” in retail is slowly but surely being wheedled down, maybe they don’t yet notice it…
