Thinking of Classic as a static game

Disclaimer: Not coming at this from a negative angle or anything, just ramblings in my head. I know the positives and negatives of nostalgia and its effects have been discussed ad nauseam but I’ve always wondered how long it will keep everyone’s attention? I’m sure a certain percentage will happily play the rest of their lives. Wonder how long until it becomes hard to field raiding teams requiring 40 people. Hopefully if this becomes popular and gives them enough subs eventually they can do BC…

Crazy Theory that wont happen, but what if

So ya i know this won’t happen lol. But what if Blizz used classic to revamp all of wow. Like start with #NoChanges and then go back and re-do every expansion knowing what they know now. Like TBC with no flying mounts. Cata without portals to everything. No LFR. Wod without garrisons LOL. I know the retail community would hate it, but hey a girl can dream right?

When the "Full Original Run" is over, should they add new content?

I understand that this will be full of salt and spewing garbage before it gets anywhere productive lmao. A lot of people are vehemently for no changes without understanding how many changes WoW Classic underwent during its lifespan (every class getting such wide talent overhauls that they got complete refunds of talents, every class getting several quests while lvling in 1.11, Silithus revamp, PvP system revamp twice, the list goes on). I’m thinking that if Classic does as well as we all know it will that Blizzard should release new expansions sticking with the fundamentals of Classic WoW while also releasing their casual constantly changing Retail content. Basically there would be two streams of the same game catering to the 2 main divisions of the audience. Thoughts?

Make all expansions relevant again?

I heard a lot of people say that right now in WoW, the only relevance it has, is based on the current patch its placed in. Essentially World of 8.1.5. Thats an interesting dilemma, but maybe we can make ALL expansions current content. It wouldn’t even be as complicated as scaling, in fact, no scaling would be required!
