I used the word perfectly and appropriately… there has never been any pronunciation problem, ever. Give the gate-keeping schtick a rest.
You did not. Tyr is not forgotten. A character who was relevant only a year ago is not forgotten. A character still mentioned in current content is not forgotten.
I’m thinking the same. I’m certainly getting some vibe of a past poster who also had a habit of getting very aggro whenever their head canon and misuse of words was called into question, and responded with very over-the-top accusations.
Cause they really didn’t let the Nightmare story really go on that long in Legion. They were too quick to kill Xavius again, Legion should’ve been the Nightmare breaking back out of the rift and being an active background threat again for an actual patch of content or something like that instead of being thrown out quick with a half-baked zone stor and a rushed tier 1 raid.
And one mostly remembered for “TYRANDE, I NEED YOU” and Ysera’s death. But we did also get a dungeon out of it too!!
I feel that when Blizzard decided they didn’t want to do a whole Emerald Dream expansion, they decided to just throw in a quick resolution to the Nightmare stuff into a back corner of an expansion all about the Legion. Just to get rid of it.
I still love that it was so bad that the person who wrote it, when asked if it was Xavius, said “thats not what I intended but that makes way more sense” lmao. Iirc they also admitted that was their first time writing dialogue for the zones so they just kind of threw it out there.
Tyr was forgotten, period. I don’t need your permission or approval for anything I say. You’re not an authority on who is allowed to type anything.
We literally have several expansion long questlines in Dragonflight that involve Tyr and his story.
He wasn’t forgotten. Just…stop. For everyone’s sake
You are also not in charge of permitting or approving anything I say.
That’s nice and all
But, you’re still wrong
I dare say I will survive your disapproval.
Ok. You are right.
As someone who always viewed that scene as Xavius mocking Malfurion, can I get a source on that?
https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/tyrande-i-need-you-was-malfurion-not-xavius/154887 the original tweet is gone because i assume the account is delete, but here’s a thread that still lets you preview what it said.
So by this logic any character that does not appear in the expansion that follows one they appeared in… is a forgotten character?
I feel a big reason why many people, myself included saw the whole “Tyrande, I NEED YOU!” as Xavius mocking his arch nemesis was due to how Malfurion acts in the dungeon that follows. That being Darkheart Thicket. There Malfurion is constantly ripping Xavius apart with zingers despite having a knife to his throat.
It could be possible that the dev that wrote the dialogue for Darkheart Thicket is not the same dev that wrote dialogue for that quest in Val’sharah and thus the difference of Malfurions characterization.
Tyr literally had a two patch wide storyline in Dragonflight with massive consequences on the Light and Paladins as a whole.
Samuro doesn’t even exist in-game.
Tyr had a whole arc in the previous expansion.
By that measure, Tyr is less forgotten than Sylvanas. And I don’t think she is forgotten at all.
I don’t see how one could call Tyr forgotten when he was specifically brought into the fore front in the previous expac.
Some have been said here and there, but the vast majority of Executors, High Executors, and Grand Executor Mortuus.
Anslem was already mentioned, and he had such a great intro in Wrath, but folks are sleeping on Wroth. Royal torturer in life? Loves killing Scarlets? Sign him up if they want to move forward with bring them back, hopefully a lot less dreadlordy too
Most of the people I’d care to see make a resurgence showed up during the Orc Heritage quest. Just need them to follow through on it if we see an actual world revamp.
Samuro not making a show but Lantressor of the Blade did was… Wholly expected.
