No, he called out things that form exclusive social networks and said they might need to be looked at. Not that they would be banned.
ClassicLFG parses normal chat and puts it in a nice UI with some features that make it easier to communicate with the people you find. Anyone in chat can be a part of it even without the addon, it forms no exclusive social networks.
Chillax and don’t use it. It’s not the boogieman everyone is hysterical about. It really is nothing more than a chat sorter. If you don’t use it, you won’t know the difference between a LFG/LFM request made by the add on, macro or just typed.
No one gets excluded with this but if Blizzard caves, there will be a lot of exclusion because guilds will just use Discord to top off their raids and skip city chat.
So youre telling me I think I want classic to be free from retail features, but I don’t?

If the add on auto invites groups of random players for a dungeon it needs to be broken. My understanding is that ClassicLFG is having that functionality removed.

I have no clue as to why you want classic. Now you’re just being daft to be argumentative.
I’m saying that having a LFG addon is =/= to LFD feature that was implemented end of Wrath.
If you don’t want to use it, don’t. There is no one forcing you too.
I don’t care about other addons as long as it doesn’t affect my gameplay. LFG does since i could potentially be missing out on groups due to them not using trade and it ruins the communication needed to talk to people discussing what we need and roles

Nope, it doesn’t. Read up on exactly what it does, I’ve posted about it before and so have others.

LFG addon:
- Does not automate gameplay.
- Literally ‘looking for a group’ is not gameplay. It’s socializing and/or profiling.
- Blizzard has not said a single thing about banning this addon and they’ve had plenty of time to see it popping up all over the WoWverse.
Unless they come right out and say it’s banned, consider it an acceptable addon.
I think it is fair to point out that the overwhelming majority of players on these forums, reddit, and discord are against this add on.
Personally as long as auto invite is broken I’m okay.
Duuuuude it doesn’t work the way you’re characterizing it. Learn more about it before you make assumptions.

ok…explain to me just exactly is meant by “talent tree parsing”
I know what that means…a way to exclude players.
but I’d like to hear your take on it.
They can look at your talents before they invite you and if you don’t have the cookie cutter best super number one build, you won’t get invite.
People who like to run non optimal builds for either fun or utility are worried they will be excluded.
