I get where you are coming from, I honestly do. I’m sorry other players are so picky that you have to feel like you need to have bis for all aspects of the game. May you find peace in whatever off-spec conduit the system locks you into for the day.
It’s becoming more and more clear how much more about spite this is than anything else.
My resto druid is necro and I really enjoy the ability.
Those players go through dozens or even hundreds of tests and number crunching. Why wouldn’t we take advantage of the knowledge they willingly share with us?
That’s fine. I still see far more of the game than you at a far quicker rate. You can “spite me” all you want.
I’ll cry myself to sleep with 230 iLvl
Tell us why you feel obligated to staying with a cov you dont enjoy, is it because you just are not good enough at being a druid?. Even being NF you still are not in that top 2% so why do you feel that you are locked into a cov you dont enjoy, you might actually increase your skillset playing something you enjoy over something that someone else said you need to do in order to be competitive.
A 10% damage increase is a 10% damage increase for anyone. Lesser skills players make use of those buffers more than the highest skilled players. It allows them to do more in game. Doesn’t even have to do with being competitive.
No it’s not, I’m a slave to it as well. I don’t use my water elemental. Rune of Power annoys me to the core but I use it. I’m Venthyr frost. I have glacial fragments and slick ice ranked up. Also almost have my pvp leggo up and apparently now have to get freezing winds (which I won’t I think). I ranked up my legendary crafting extremely fast to the point I spent about 400k on mats (which I got back, fortunately) just so theoretically I’d be competitive.
You know what my highest key is? A +8 mists. I haven’t raided, I haven’t done any PvP.
So yea I’m definitely a slave to the system as well even though I don’t even do hard stuff and I don’t look down on people who are as well. I think I just don’t see the big issue with covenants because I had to make the decision to abandon arcane and fire completely from the very beginning, then frost was actually horribly undertuned and… You know… I lived.
You seriously need to finish leveling and try some high end game content to understand. Your comparisons are top end players which are a minority.
You look so dumb lmfao. Did you even look at the difference in score between Night Fae and Necrolord?
Quite a few posters during the development phase admitted that what they really liked was the idea of other people being forced to do things that aren’t fun for them and being given no choice.
The only way you are “forced” to do anything is if you are pushing keys or Mythic raiding.
That is your choice (and just proves my point of the toxic min max or utter trash mindset you still haven’t addressed). I’ll fully admit I don’t know or care if Vethnyr is or was the BIS for blood DK in raid, PvP, or mythic+…I chose it because I wanted to (also was going to go Necro but the auto grip I deemed to be too risky).
If I felt so inclined to go PvP, I’d go as I am. I realize that I’ll probably win or lose (probably lose being honest) because my lack of practice/experience in it rather because I had covenant A vs covenant B…same as for why my group doesn’t have KSM yet…it isn’t because we’re opposite meta folks (which we are)…it’s because we make mistakes and especially in the 12+ range, those mistakes are directly or indirectly deadly…we’d still make those same mistakes even if we happened to all be the current meta classes/specs and thus the actual better use of our time and effort is getting better at our teamwork to eliminate the mistakes rather than focus on covenant swapping.
You are free to embrace that toxic mindset that is preventing you from just swapping all you want, and you can claim it is hurting the game, but it really isn’t…you are just hurting yourself by denying yourself whatever pleasure/fun you’d have in that content. Kind of like my now deceased step-father who often would stop taking his various medications on purpose so he would suffer…as if we’d then feel guilty for him and all jump to his aid or cower and walk on egg shells around him because he was PO’d and angry/violent…really though all it did was cost him his marriage, family, and eventually his life (died to complications caused by not taking his kidney meds during one of his stints). You think by not engaging in certain content is hurting the game, but nah just yourself more than anything else.
Oh, posting from unleveled horde druid is annoying you? I have a 220 kyrian mm hunter, a 220 venthyr prot/fury warr, a fresh leveled nf druid (to complete the nf story line and herb/alchy alt) and a 200 necrolord resto shammy (used solely as an enchanting mats and herbs provider and something to complete the necro story).
Ill be sure to log into this toon in the next week and might finish leveling it, kyrian leather xmog!
No one is truly “forced” to do anything. Anyone can leave who is not happy with the current direction of the game. If you’re annoyed with other people because you don’t like how they play and that they have different from opinions from you, you too can leave.
My point is does it really matter - necro druid completed all +20 keys, necro druid completed all bosses in mythic cn and necro druid is 3k+ rating in arena. None of those druids needed to be nf as was dictated by the masses to clear the content.
Hopefully you understand that people choosing to not play the game so some spiteful forum heroes get the last laugh is probably a bad business model

Unless you have a massive amount to learn, you will very quickly reach a level where your build IS the difference between you and the other guy. Skill isn’t something that just scales upwards in a linear way forever. When you hit.your ceiling, your build will matter.
I am gonna be honest, at first I wanted them to keep it locked, now, I just don’t care. If theu unlocked good, I won’t be changing my characater convenants either way, I am very happy on where they are
Welp, thanks for coming out and proving this entire post was a giant troll post.
Well played.
Is that a joke?
The guy literally came at me saying he wanted this feature to spite me. If he can be toxic to me, I can do the same back.
Don’t just assume I’m in the wrong because I’ve got a huge, massive, gigantic ilvl compared to him. Unfortunately spite doesnt get them into groups
