For any leveling during the event, how is it? 60-70 specifically

I have an ignored alt rogue I am considering getting to 70 and wasnt sure how the experience was. It’s currently 65 and really only used for lockboxes, which dont seem to drop anymore anyway.

Just a post I remembered from a couple of days ago.

Not bad. Just for completeness sake, I might do this then.

If anything it’s a change of pace from either Remix or normal Retail levelling.

You could probably hit 70 in 2-3 hours doing nothing but pet battles. Not that I know anyone who has done that from 65-70. Nope. No one I know. Especially not for 4 alts.

I am getting alts from 60-70 in two hours. And the event isn’t a pain to do.

My hunter went from 68 → 69 after about 20 min of running around fighting things and 2 Arthas kills.

I’ve leveled a couple of alts that were in the mid-60s using the event. It was quite fast, like a couple of hours from 66 or so to 70. The lower 60s would go by even faster, so my guess is total from 60-70 using the event (and playing it nonstop) would be 3 hours, maybe more maybe less depending.

It’s pretty slow, probably faster to grind dungeons if you’re a non-DPS.

My kill time isn’t fast and it takes a while to get to the bosses. Probably 2 hrs for a few levels.

I’m using this event to get some mogs like Recruit’s Shield, not really trying to use it for efficient experience gain.

May just return to leveling normally once I get what I’m after.

Well, I leveled from 60 to 70 and I never left waking shores. It only took a few hours.

On your rogue? Cause I tried. I just cant get into it and felt so weak.

So far I did all of 66 by killing 2 minis. Mosh and Ghaz. Each gave me 30ish k xp. And about the same from Ony. So this shouldnt take too long and she can earn her own gear.

Yes, on me, an outlaw rogue to boot.

Also, I’m using the “Starter Build” rather than one from Icy Veins. You might try that stock build before you dump the class altogether. Even though they aren’t designed for end game or PvP, I find they generally have decent diversity in options for open world content. It’ll give you a better feel for whichever spec you choose. You can always specialize at 70.

We are very gear dependant, I’ll give you that. Experience in the class, and personal skill also affects things. We aren’t amazing at AoE, so be careful with pulls. If it’s 2-3, you can Sap one, and use Blade fury. If you aggro more than that (or are supporting a group), you can use Echoing Reprimand, followed by Blade fury. Don’t forget cooldowns!

I’ve been playing rogues since 2004. I haven’t bothered switching to an end game build as there is little point with the expansion so close.

You can always get amazing tips in the rogue forum, too! It can be challenging at times, but once you “get it,” it’s a fun class to play. SIde note: I’ve had several strokes, and I still find it fun! If you just want to mow stuff down, try DH or BM-H. However, it won’t feel as fulfilling.

Its really fast to level better than questing and dungeons. i can get a alt from 60 to 70 in a hour. All you do is stay close to the mob of people and do memories there repeatable. Most people have been killing the mini boss ones they go pretty quick even with the buff.

They also have some decent Xp buffs going right now.

I took my level 60 Evoker to Northrend last night and cleared the event before bed. Logged out at level 63 from one event.

Logged in today and did Searing Gorge and Dustwallow Marsh. I dinged 70 turning in the daily after defeating Onyxia.

So…yeah, seems insanely easy. Not Remix easy, but easy.

I had a freshly boosted L60 and got her to L70 in a single day (less than 4 hours in-game; probably would be faster now that boss spawns are continuous not every 90 min) doing the pre-patch event bosses (and even the residual echoes to drop the bar from 100% to 0% gave quite a bit of XP, esp. the mini-bosses).

And the DMF starts overnight so another 10% xp boost added on.

I went from 60-70 on a DK while engaging in world PvP in about an hour and 45 mins just in waking shores

Got to 69 easily enough. Lich King was next. With all the issues there, ill just wait for tomorrow and fo the 3 dailies for gear

In Searing Gorge if you fly to all the points of interest you can do 60-70 in under an hour if you keep up with it. Not quite as fast in the other two zones. It is the fastest way from 60-70 at the moment.
