FOMO Events turn me off from playing - Kalimdor Cup

Lemme lay a few words down for you, We get it, you’re trash at dragonriding and you can’t keep yourself flying for 30 seconds because you’re too busy afking 99% of the time.
You know what would make you better at it? Playing, paying attention and if you want to afk as you float around, get in the air and glide your way along.

As for your FOMO mentality, you act like you have no choice to do it, everything in life is a choice not to mention the cosmetics are trash anyway.

If this game is all about cosmetics to you, FF14 is your game as glam is the literal end game for that game on top of a housing system where you can show off your creative housing ideas.

Get rekt and learn to play games for what they are instead of what you want out of it.

One of the best explanations I have seen.

You’re welcome. Some folks don’t and that’s ok. Now they know

I misread what that other person put earlier, but oh wells. Least the misreading had some use. :stuck_out_tongue:

You can literally log in and max out all the rewards right now my man. This isn’t FOMO. Are holidays FOMO because you can only do Winterveil during Xmas? Hallows End during Halloween? Stop with this buzzword nonsense dude, if you miss out you miss out who cares.

They are spot on. Just read the wiki article about it. FOMO comes in various facets and it’s not exclusively “social media mental issues”

Fomo is great and the only thing that keeps me engaged in this game. Besides, the events will rotate, soon we will get another kalimdor cup event, so its really not a “fomo event”.

To be honest, you must be a casual player. If competition is the only thing which interests you in WoW, then you were never truly immersed with this world or characters.

lotta peeps in here coping on the fact that fomo is a marketing scheme
weird shill energy

Define casual player…
If you played game for long enough then the competition and fomo is the only thing left for you. If you are a new player, sure go and explore etc.

It is.

Also, who cares about “fomo” or not, i understand what the OP is saying. Seems like there’s a lot of people who just disagree and want to argue about it over the term “fomo.” I guess that’s modern Wow…

I wish the mogs could be used all year :sob:

What do you get for doing the Kalimdor Cup?

You can buy transmog set pieces and dragon racing skins. And achievements for gold, silver bronze.

Anyone got $70 billion to lend me so I can buy actiblizz and close ops account and ip ban them permanently for their overuse of buzzwords?

Or what if it’s all a big fat Araby?

How is it FOMO? When the event is two or so weeks that is more then enough time to complete. Also, they will eventually comeback since all the old continent (Outland, northrend, EK, Kalimdor, Pandaria, Broken isles, Zandalar, and Kultiras) all will be getting their own dragonriding races eventually.

Kinda is, don’t know when it’ll come back, if you’ll be subbed or available to play.

One of the main reasons I do not engage at all with DFs world content? Everything is on some timer. hour, two hour, three hour… whatever. Not going to remember, or go sit there to complete it. Timers are just as bad.

FOMA is the new “toxic”.

Term used so much by trolls it loses its meaning. And if you think they won’t repeat the event, you haven’t been paying attention.
