Flying will be restricted in patch 11.0.7's new content zone

I just hope it can be navigated at reasonable ease. Sometimes they go out of their way to make it annoying as possible.

Exploring flying achievement incoming.

Tell us what is stopping you from doing this now?

Flying has always been an option.

The only person is stopping you is you.

Then stop playing warmode. If you want to PvP and you are in the mode specially for PvP why are you crying about potential PvP?

Yeah, except it’s literally the same thing they did in the Forbidden Reach.
Hence it’s just a worse Forbidden Reach, lol.

I try new content if it a pain won’t do it no big deal.

Enabling flying would not have saved the maw.

It would have sucked a whole lot less though.

Smaller island and more akin to Mechagon with the mechanics they’ve added.

Here’s SoulsoBreezy’s size comparisons, measured using in game map pins.

Siren Isle on top of Mechagon:

Siren Isle on top of Dornogal:

It’s basically an Island Expedition map size. People have even theorized it’s a left over IE map that was never used and expanded upon. Which makes sense as to why it’s Azerite and Kul Tiran stuff.

It’s weird how lost in the weeds people are getting themselves over a comparison to another patch island with a ring.

I’m shocked.

I’m not sure what you mean?

For me, outside of the ring, the isle seemed to have mechanics more akin to Mechagon, so I thought I’d share that idea.

And I just thought it would help others to see the size of the place. I think it helps when discussing flying around this place.

I love this!! We need more zones where we are grounded.

Fly has become too convient.

I understand wanting people to engage and not to rush (flying go brrrr) but the skeptic in me thinks that the area will be full of ankle biters ready to dismount you.

I remember back in GW2 launch, this map called orr, massive mob density, and the mobs had nearly the complete kit set of a DK ( massive slows, roots, grips), navigating pre mount era was just a miserable experience lol

Considering from my understanding, the island has two stages. A storming stage, and a non-storming stage, I think it would be pretty neat to allow us to fly during the non-storm stage, but be grounded during the storming stage.

I’d already paused my sub for November after my m+ group kinda fell apart but now this is making the decision lean toward being permanent.

lol wow how on earth did they ever think this was a good idea after how repudiated no flying zones were and how beloved dragonriding was?

Even if this zone isn’t that bad I still have no idea how they ever got the idea that people want this in any way. Just
 why?
