Lessons have apparently not been learned from the past.
Doesn’t seem like it’s a permanent thing. You don’t usually need a debuff to prevent flying, they can just design the zone that prevents it in general lol.
the monkey paw curls
I member when they gave us jet packs in Mechagon that was a cool change up
This is not a problem at all.
People making it a problem are scrounging.
A place is either designed for it or not to begin with. Full stop.
Good, I miss exploring new places the old fashioned way
Nothing against being able to fly once I have explored everything and don’t want to waste so much time doing the same old quest line , but flying makes questing too fast to the point it’s hard to enjoy the story or the area as it’s kill a few mobs> fly to the quest you, get new quest> fly and kill some mobs> fly back
Looking forward to the new flyless zone
you can literally do this now
the only person stopping you from doing so is yourself
And how about doing the same quests several months later when you’re still grounded? Is it still exciting to do it the “old fashioned” way?
A zone without flying is not a problem.
This is bait. For the eventual “Siren pathfinder” meta achievement.
So I guess it’s a worse forbidden reach at least on forbidden reach you can fly.
Have you forgotten how annoying the maw was with no mount. Not to mention when you have an elite chasing you or have mobs attacking you when all you want to do is go back to the portal?
Not going to lie, and I recognize this is an unpopular opinion, but I don’t mind this. It’s been a while since we’ve been grounded and the actual playable area seems pretty small this time around.
I think ground mounts in a single zone will be chill after two and a half years of turbo speed in the air
forbidden reach was small too
yet we could fly there
Honestly, it will be nice to actually see my fellow players in Azeroth once again. Thought I was playing a solo RPG for a while there.
The Maw was quite massive and had a lot of verticality, PLUS you were timed while playing there. Some, like druids or worgen, also had an advantage over others. Everyone is on equal footing here.
I’m pretty sure the 11.0.7 map is quite a bit smaller than Forbidden Reach. Forbidden Reach was also home to a race of Dragon people and was pretty vertical. Most of the island would have been nearly unplayable without flight
This was literally in SL in the maw and also a good part of SL expansion which was r that long ago
Compared to pretty much every single content patch requiring you to be grounded at the start, yes, two and a half years is a while in comparison.
Crippling myself on purpose isn’t very fun, especially when everyone around me would be flying around
It’s like saying that if a class is super OP people should just stop using the OP ability instead of it being nerfed
On top of this , your answer is very ignorant because i play War mode on always and if I do try to explore by foot , random gankers will keep flying and chasing me with their flying mounts while I wouldn’t be able to do the same putting me in a huge disadvantage.
So exploring on my mount without flying when the others can fly is simply not feasible on war mode if you don’t want to get group ganked every minute
so everyone should suffer because you’re a participation medal recipient
