Flying ruins the game

Flying at level cap in Shadowlands please devs. No more pathfinder stop catering to the minority.

Isle of quel danas, Wintergrasp and the Jousting dailies.
Also, it wasn’t as big a deal in TBC because a) flying was new and b) most of the players weren’t even max level, and most max level players didn’t even have epic flight, so it was much more balanced.

None of which were anything that should be touted as a reason to design the world around flight. I don’t consider flying over a crevice that enticing.

That’s what makes Classic. If you put flying in Classic it would cheapen the whole experience and instantly ruin it.

Again, say this all day, you just look silly. And I don’t really need to remove flying, I’m fine with it being gated half the expansion.

I do not like Wpvp so I am fine with flying, sorry i dont wanna spend that much time on the game, better off waiting til flying is released then play.

it has not been proven at all… sure wish you pleabs would stop with these strawman arguments cause you got nothing to go on what so ever.

How much wPvP was there in WoD before Pathfinder? What about Legion? How about BfA?

There was a time when nobody had flying at the highest level of content. If you want to tell me that things changed suddenly once people could fly, I’ll have to ask for citations.

If they are flying then they didn’t skip everything.

Does it?

Still waiting on that proof.

I played both before and after flying, and flying makes the game much MORE playable, not less.

The don’t like flying don’t use it argument is like telling people critical of radical socialism with “don’t like free money then don’t use money then”

It’s a simpleton take on things that sounds good to… simpletons.

TOTALLY ABSURD COMPARISON.

You can travel mounted anywhere you need to without flying. You cannot buy anything including critical goods without money…

Your comparison is like saying hippos are gray and battleships are gray, so they are both the same thing. twit.

We can just “compromise” again! This time the “Compromise” will be no flying in the current expansion until prepatch for next expansion hits where you will have to complete Pathfinder part 1, part 2 and then fork over 10 million gold! :upside_down_face:

Oh how I was sad when the Rogue’s grapplehook got nerfed as they made more terrain have “no path”.

I was sad when they nerfed the items that allowed for increased ground speed while running.

I was sad when in legion they nerfed the Bruulfist toy, that when combined with the emerald winds and skyhorn kite gave everyone a reliable method to glide far distances before there was even Pathfinder Part 2 in Legion.

I was sad with how they tried to just outright remove the Waterstrider’s ability so no mount could waterwalk.

I was sad when pathfinder became a thing from WoD onwards. As it meant that instead of actually wanting to engage with the world more, I would have to fall back on classes that had tanking specs or shields or stealth or cloaks or spurs that negate dazing. Even a DH is more useful as they can just quickly run away from the aggroing mobs.

What do they all share in common? They allow for increased mobility.

To someone who thinks flying ruined the game, you hate on an aspect that only made me want to engage more with the game. You think getting dazed off your mount is what I want out of this game? Are you masochistic?

Flying didn’t kill wpvp, wpvp giving no rewards and being a waste of time killed wpvp. Kid.

If I could give you 50 likes for that statement I would.

Even using the excuse it ruins WPVP doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have flight. Just find more ways to restrict it during WPVP. Either that or remove it while flagged for PVP in current content. Wpvpers don’t want flight then there ya go.

You’re right it’s not debatable whether flying “deteriorates” the wow experience. It’s actually demonstrably false.

I wonder who’s hiding behind this classic character telling us all this clearly false nonsense.

Stay in classic. Or better yet, walk everywhere, because you’re on foot in classic and that’s morally superior.

You have zero sense of game design. But then, you’re just an anonymous stooge here to copy and paste lame rationalizations, all proven false.

If you actually were playing retail, you’d be seeing players everywhere right now. The fact that you’re saying this is not true means that either you’re lying or you don’t even play. I’d lean toward the second, because if you played you wouldn’t have to be hiding behind a classic character you couldn’t even be bothered to level to max.

Plenty of them do. In the absence of data, your claim is unsupportable.

When I was on a pvp server during warlords, we all had flight. We flew everywhere. Only low skilled gankers want flight removed, so their victims can’t get away.

That’s the whole point of flying. Blizzard makes us jump through hoops to get it though.

Nailed it.

ion does though, and that’s the problem.

I mean it basically is Ion’s game though. I guess we know now what happens when you put Elitist Jerks in charge of the game sadly.

No! flying is the only one of the things keeping me in this game. If I want to see an area I go see it… I do not want to be forced to see everything.
