Myself and most people do not care when the first 3 weeks or so of a new expansion you limit flying for the “experience” what really peeves me off and most others is each patch when they come out with a new zone and we’re grounded for another 3 or 4 weeks each and every time.
Like stop doing that and just do it at the start of the expansion. By the time a patch rolls around all it is, is a new zone with a handful of new quests and storyline. We literally know 99% of the lore and experience by this point.
So just STOP doing it once the first restriction per expansion is lifted a few weeks into it once the main storyline has been completed.
Feel free to use your ground mounts, then.

I’m fine with removing flying…
If they remove time-gated content.
No more “daily” rep farm gates. You want to “walk on the ground” to the rep farm area and grind until exhalted in one single play session? Go ahead.
No loot lockout timers. I walked to this dungeon fair and square. And when I walk out and walk back in again, I should be able to walk through the dungeon and get loot again.
No raid lockouts. Raid lockouts work like dungeons. If you go out and reset the instance, everything resets, including bosses, trash and the loot drops. You got an axe from the first boss? Now you can run the boss again and get the axe again if you are lucky, right now.
Reputation is account based. No more having to do the same stupid bs on every single character again. If you are 4573/6000 friendly with Nazjatar on one character, you are 4573/6000 friendly with Nazjatar on ALL characters.
No more conquest/valor weekly caps. If you want to spam mythic plus nonstop for valor to upgrade a piece? Go for it. You want to spam 17 m+ nonstop to get the weapon from the last boss? Go for it.
I’m down to embrace no flying, but first we need to be down to embrace the removal of time gating mechanics and anti-alternate character systems.
I already explained why this isn’t a viable solution in the OP. Flying needs to be removed for everyone, period.
what if they removed the ability for you to stay on ground for everyone
Or you know, and this is going to sound crazy, let people enjoy the game the way the want to without asking for things to be removed.

The very nature of asking for content to be added or removed is selfish. Raiders got Titanforging removed because they couldn’t stand casuals having decent gear without treating WoW like a full time job. I’m campaigning to get flying removed.

Numbers speak for themselves. WoD made WoW drop below 5million players forcing this whole no flying thing. WoW most likely is still below 5million. We still have a million people that log on daily but its just a shadow of what its us to be. And is still shrinking by forcing making systems critical to your player power.
You forgot to say imo. Imo, this game without flying sucks. I prefer exploration with my flying mount. I pay the same $15 you do, I want my version of the game. All you have to is choose not to fly. I can’t choose to fly without flying.
People who don’t want to fly, just don’t fly.
