Haveing fun the way you wish is what WoW is about. Options are always a good thing.
Yes I agree we need grappling hooks to pull people from the sky. Grabbing people from mid air is much more fun than on the ground.
Ion would be sad if we ignored his system for flying, especially when you have to do it 49 more times and it’s not account wide.
Only from the few, but not the many. Flying will always be part of WoW, because shop mounts. 
You can choose to be grounded no one is forcing you to do so.
Good thing it’s not otherwise this game would be a ghost town and there would be no one to kill in world pvp or to play with in other activities.

They’re still mad at the fact there is a possibility of skipping out on honor kills ,this as been an excuse for a long time and will not stop them from complaining.
ESO is a very well crafted game, everything about it works well in a way that WoW just can’t really achieve. It is the only real polished MMO, what about it offended you to the point where you’re blacklisting people who like it?
Well of course that’s the case. That’s because Blizz keeps making zones without flying in mind. I wonder what your opinion of flyings “place in the game” would be if you went to Stormpeaks in Northrend or Outland and couldn’t fly.
The other main issue is that much of the permanent rewards for content have been flying mounts. How would you like it if someone rewarded you with a new car but later on they retroactively decided that if you traveled to a new city, your cars air conditioning wouldn’t work?
Let’s lay blame where it belongs. Blizz is doing all this fancy stuff to the new dragon mount and as per usual, completely ignoring the other 800 mounts in the game. If blizz wanted to seriously take this issue on as it properly should be dealt with, than they would have to go through the process of updating all 800 mounts to be compatible with the exact same features that this new dragon mount has. Perhaps not the added customisation, but certainly the new physics system.
But this is Blizz in 2022. They make something, then they move on and pretend it doesn’t exist anymore. This is the same way borrowed power systems infiltrated the game to such an extent.
If blizz seriously wants to put their money where their mouth is, then they need to immediately stop mounts as rewards for content. No more AoTC or CE mounts. No more pvp mounts. No more rare drop mounts. No more m+ mounts. Just throw in the occasional quest chain like the mechagon spider. Something everyone can get at their leasure. Instead of 50 new mounts per expac, make it 3 or something. They need to stop raining rewards on us that they have no intention of supporting.

Ah yes the old “but my world PvP” argument lol, as if world has been relevant to anything since vanilla when honor earned determined your ranking. Oh no world PvPers have a harder time ganking people for no benefit to themselves with flying. I play with WM off, so not like they’d be world PvPing w me anyway.

Not understanding why this topic was reported. I mean, it is a stupid topic, as the entire last week was consumed with this idiotic fixation on the announcement interviews.
But if we’ve devolved into reporting because we don’t have agreement, we are truly at a sad state. Usually there’s some racist or homophobic clue in a disagreeing post, but this just says we don’t want to fly and it’s ok.
I want to fly on a DARGON, not these stupid remnants of my vanilla WoW. I’ve been told time and again that we need a better engine and better quality game - I agree. Bring us new flying.
But I don’t want to be in a forum where people shout over and assume that the majority will always is the right answer. Quit, or don’t. But when the Franchise manager goes over the design and it’s not your way – methinks quite a few people will have to change their opinion or stop shouting it so often lest they be forced to quit to keep any shred of credibility to their opinion.

Flying would’ve ruined timeless isle. They need to make world content better than it is now, but flying isn’t necessary for me for the game to be good.
